Lucas POV- I was hanging out with the rest of the decoder types! You see were kinda all a friend group. We were all laughing and just having a good time in general, it was lunch time and everyone was just sitting around and eating. I was zoned out and wasn't paying attention to the conversation when Tracy poked me, "poke poke" she spoke "HUH?!" I gasped after being brought back to reality "what was that for" I asked
"Someone's staring" she chimed in, "what do you mean?" I questioned
"Ugh he's only been staring for like 10 minutes" she stated while rolling her eyes
"Who" I questioned
"Look for yourself!" She chirped out while turning me around

All I saw was Edgar, he had a small sketchbook out and was sketching something, or maybe someone.

"It's just Edgar, Tracy" I replied to her
That's when Freddy cut in "tch, your so simple minded I swear- he's literally been staring at you"
"Wait so you meant Edgar was staring at me?!" I exclaimed with clear doubt and shock in my tone
"Yes" Freddy replied rolling his eyes before walking over to talk with another decoder main
"Edgar was... staring at me..." I whispered
"YES!" Tracy exclaimed
"Tracy shhh! Keep it down he's gonna get suspious on why we keep looking over there" I commented
"Well it's not like he's any better he's been staring this whole time!" Tracy huffed out
"Well-" I tried to make out but was interrupted by Tracy pushing me "go talk to him" , I was about to protest when Tracy cut me off and said "less talking more walking"

Tracy and me are close, we get along well since were both into inventing. We're not close in a romantic way she's more like my family and she's also dating Emma! And so naturally with us being so close I told her about my crush on Edgar.I don't know if that was a good or bad idea, most likely both. Now she tries to make opportunities for me to talk to him, this is one of those times.

I was then pushed over to Edgars table and fell right in front of him, "ouch" I commented
Edgar looked at me à furrowed his eyebrows and looked at me he was about to say something but then  I quickly stood up
"Ah uh- so" I tried to make out
" are you good?" Edgar asked a bit concerned
I took a minute and took a deep breath and then regained my confidence "I'm fine! So Edgar! What are you drawing" I exclaimed happily while pulling out a chair to sit across from him
"I'm drawing... a person" was all he said, his cheeks turned a light pink colour as he turned away
"I have to go uh check my records" he spoke while quickly dashing off
"Edgar! Wait-" I tried to say but he didn't hear me, that's when I realized he had dropped his art book
I didn't want to envade his privacy but the book had been lying up and open and that's when I seen a tiny sketch of me in his note book, so he was drawing me huh I thought
I should give this back to him.
Before I did so I decided to maybe leave him a note, I grabbed a pen out of my pocket and opened it.
Hey Edgar it's me Luca ! I found your sketchbook thingy and I'm really sorry for looking in it! But could you maybe meet me outside tonight behind the manor in the woods like area? The usual spot
I wrote, I then closed the book and headed up to his room I didn't want to disturb him so I decided to just slide the book under the door and left.

~time skip to later that night~
I waited till everyone else was asleep before I headed out, I don't really have any expectations on what could happen I mean he might not even show. I went to th usual spot, the usual spot is a tree behind the manor where Edgars often sits and paints, I normally join him but I sit under it and invent.

I was still walking down the rocky trail to get to the spot, the wind was warm and the moon was beautiful as always. It sounded like I was the only on out there but when I looked over o realized that wasn't the case. There he was, he was leaning up against the tree. He had a sketch book in his hand and he was tapping his chin with a pencil most likely pondering what he should add or take away.

"Edgar" I called out to him
"Ah Luca your here" he replied
"Listen Edgar I'm really s-" I went to say but I was interrupted by Edgar, "Luca I need to talk to you about something"
"You do? Well okay" I encouraged him to keep going
"I swear to god if you repeat this to another soul I will en-"
"OKAY I PROMISE I WONT" I yelped out a bit nervous on what Edgar would do
"Luca... I'm kinda"
"Kinda?" I repeated
"In love with you"
"I mean yeah how could you not be" I cockily said I only received a large eye roll from Edgar and he was about to take a step away but then I said "NO NO WAIT PLEASE I WAS ONLY KIDDING I LOVE YOU VALDEN"
Edgar looked over at me with a slight smirk "I love you to Balsa"
"can I just make one more joke" I asked
Edgar rolled his eyes once again but then waited for me to do it "are you Joseph? Because I mean you were staring at me long enough to take a picture, but it's okay because I can Picture is together" I spoke with my hands holding up to him to make a camera
I didn't except to hear laughter from Edgar, "Luca your a idiot, but your my idiot and I love you for that".
