Party no show

Edgar's POV- Tonight the manor decided to hold a big party outback, I would obviously be going and my boyfriend Luca too. We were gonna match our costumes. I will be wearing Golden radio and Luca will wear electrolysis. It was 5pm and the party started at six, I barely had enough time to get ready jeez! The party is to celebrate the start of the new season here at the manor- season 16, we have a new survivor coming as well this season which means there's stuff to celebrate I guess.

The party will be held out back in a clearing, Mary and Michiko are working on setting things up along with the help of some survivors. It was almost time for the party and I was going to be late, that means I probably will miss walking there with Luca- that's okay I'll join him later on tonight. I finally finished getting ready at around 6:30 and that's when I headed out- I didn't bother checking Lucas' room because I assumed he would already be at the party and knew I would catch up with him later in a bit.

I could already hear the loud cheering and music right after I left the manor. It was cold out and since my costume wasn't very warm I began to shiver- at least I'm cold in style I sighed to myself. I finally arrived at the party and they were as loud as ever, I grabbed some of the food that Mary and Michiko made and examined the place to see if I could find Luca. After an hour of loud music and no luca I decided I was done with people today, well except Luca of course- I feel like I should go check on him. Normally parties are his absolute favourite thing and he's on the dance floor but tonight there's no sign of him. I was about to leave when I was stopped by Emma.

"leaving so soon?" She frowned

"I'm not feeling to great and I wanna go talk to Luca" I told her

"oh! I see, well I hope things go well have this" She told me while holding her hand out with a bag of candies

"Uh thanks I guess" I said before heading back to the manor- I put them away for now I guess I could eat some if I ever get hungry in a match but that's not important right now.

I entered the silent home. It seemed like I was the only one here but that can't be right because if I'm the only one here then where is Luca I questioned. I didn't want to chance it and headed back to Luca's room. I knocked on the door before pulling on the knob. To my surprise it was locked, that's different for Luca but I had a key to his room so I pulled it out and opened it.

Luca... wasn't there, and I began to get worried. I looked around his room and nothing had seemed different from when we last spoke earlier today. I went to turn around and leave when I bumped into something.

"Hey" I stated

"oh sorry Eddie"

"Luca?!" I stated in disbelief

"Yeah!" he exclaimed

"where were you" I asked while hugging him

"Well uh" he started

"you?" I questioned

"it's uh-" he started and then sneezed

I furrowed my eyebrows at him, "Luca would you perhaps be.."

"NO" he protested

"sick?"

"No of course not, me? never" he lied

Luca has this habit when he's sick to lie about not being sick but still follow things you do when you're sick, he doesn't like asking for help since he thinks he's capable enough without others help- I get your smart luca but still jeez.

"Yeah na uh I don't believe that for a second" I told him

"Ah uh" he nervously stated

"you need rest"

"I'm fine really!" Luca protested

"BED NOW" I stated strictly

Luca sighed before getting in his bed, I went to grab some stuff from Emily's office and then came back upstairs. I took Lucas' temperature , it was a bit high so I put a wet cloth on his head, and gave him some medicine for his cough.

"you know if you keep staying around me your gonna get sick?" he pointed out

"it's fine" I said while rolling my eyes

I spent the night over at Lucas making sure he was okay and his condition didn't get any worse, since it was late Emily wouldn't be able to treat him. In the morning I woke up next to Luca and what do you know I caught his cold, but it's okay.

Luca heard me sniffle and then said "I TOLD YOU SO"

"OH WHATEVER" I huffed

Looks like Emily would be having not just one patient to treat but this time two...
