Lindsey heard her phone ringing and grabbed it to see it was Matt. "Hello."  She answered as she really didn't want to answer the phone. "Yeah, I'll be there soon."

Elena walked in and sighed. "Lindsey, I know you've always had feelings for Matt and I'm sorry for what is going on." She said as Lindsey looked at her. "You always put Matt first and he never saw that. I couldn't even do that. You showed him love, but he was too blind because of me..."

"Elena, you don't get it. Scott was your first boyfriend and you left him for Matt. Both of them are still in love with you and they will never look at another girl like they do you." She says. "It's always going to be you."

Lindsey walked by as she had to report to the police station to give her statement. Which confused her as she didn't really see Vicki last.

Lindsey walked out and saw Matt waiting for her. "Matt, I'm sorry for Vicki.."

"I'm sorry how things are going." He tells her. "It's just..."

"I don't want to hear it. If it is about my perfect sister then I'm going to go find Caroline as she is the only person who knows my pain." She said as she walked away.

Elena sighed as she saw her sister leave. "She's not going to listen to no one." She tells him. 'I feel like an idiot for not seeing it. She truly loves you, Matt and like she said this morning. I'm always first before she ever would be. I think she believes that I made her everyone's second choice."

Matt and Scott looked at one another not knowing this. Elena walked away to go find her sister so she could talk to her some more. "Will she listen to anyone?"

"It's Lindsey." Scott said. "She's stubborn."

Matt sighed as he needed to talk to Lindsey. "I just need to talk to her."

Scott decided to say something. "Lindsey always put you first." He said making Matt stop. "She wanted to prove to you that there was someone there that saw you and wanted you to feel love. Lindsey always thought you deserved someone that would have loved you back. Someone you would want a future with." Scott sighed. "That someone being Lindsey Gilbert, my best friend."

Lindsey heard about a party at the grill causing her to go. Lindsey was drinking a little to much. "Linds, I think you had too much..."

"Leave me alone, Scott." She said. "I'll never be seen as someone to love. Just a friend."

Caroline sat down beside her and hugged her. "At least I'm not shallow to you."

"Who told you that?" Scott asked.

Caroline pointed at Damon as Matt walked over and took Lindsey's drink. "Lindsey, I think that is enough." He tells her.

"Can I please have that back?" She asked.

Matt sighed as he had Caroline move beside Scott so he can get Lindsey and take her home. "Lets go." He said as he grabbed her hand.

"Nope."

Elena walked over and saw her sister. "Lindsey?" She said. "Are you drunk?"

"Oh look, its little miss perfect. Everyone loves Elena, but the drunken sister doesn't give a shit." She said as she got out of her seat.

Elena looked down not knowing what to say to her sister. Lindsey is hurting and was getting drunk so she won't have anything to think about. Elena walked away as Matt ran after a drunk Lindsey. Lindsey on the other hand was stumbling the street when Matt walked over and picked her up. "Put me down."

"No." Matt said. "You are going home and sober up."

Lindsey huffed hating that he was doing this. "Did she send you?"

"No, I came on my own."

Lindsey sighed as he carried her to his truck. Matt placed her in making her sigh.

Matt carried Lindsey to her room as she was out cold. He laid her down on her bed and kissed her head before he left. Lindsey woke up and looked at him. "Will you stay?" She asked him.

Matt looked back at her and shut her door as he walked over to her. Lindsey moved over as she went back to sleep as Matt got in. She just needed to sober up and everything will go back to normal.
