Lindsey woke up and started to get dressed. She wondered how her day was going to be. Elena was doing everything to prove to her that she wasn't second. She walked out and stopped as she saw Matt. "Why are you here?" She asked him.

"I wanted to give you a lift." He tells her.

Lindsey sighed as she got in. Scott arrived, but saw that he should keep going as Matt had Lindsey. She didn't say a word as Matt got in. "Lindsey, I'm sorry for what has been happening. When you heard something about Elena, I wasn't going to say that it will always be her. What I was going to say was that you are her sister and I thought it was awkward."

"Why would you think that its awkward when you dated Scott's ex?"

"True." He said.

Lindsey sighed as she looked at him. "Sorry."

Matt smiled as he got his best friend back. Lindsey looked at him and blushed. "I guess I was stupid to think I was never the one." She says.

"Really?" He said making her nod. "I always thought I wasn't first."

"Feeling like you were never the one is crazy. When there was actually someone who actually put you first." Lindsey tells him with a smile.

"I should have chosen you first, Lindsey. You were by my side this whole time." Matt tells her as she looked at him as he drove.

Lindsey smiled as she was glad that he finally saw her as the person that put him first.

At school, Elena saw her sister and Matt talking with Scott and Caroline. "When did that happen?" Bonnie asked.

Elena saw how Lindsey and Matt were talking and smiling. Scott was watching the two and smirked. "I need to get to my locker." She tells them.

"I'll come with you." Matt says making Lindsey smile.

"Lindsey deserves Matt." Elena said as she watched them walk by talking.

Matt missed this. Even when he dated Elena, Lindsey was the one he spoke too the most. Looking back to now, it was always Lindsey Gilbert and he wondered why didn't pick her in the beginning. "Matt?"

"Hmm."

"What's wrong?" She asked him.

"Just thinking."

Lindsey nodded as she walked away. Scott stood beside him and looked at him. "I tried to tell you all along, Matt. Lindsey Gilbert was the one for you."

"Yes, you did."

That night, Lindsey was looking around at the job choices. She doesn't know what she wanted to do. "What's going on with you and Lindsey?" Elena asked.

"I'm trying to move on." Matt said. "You clearly did so why can't I."

Elena nodded as Scott joined in. "What?"

"Its nothing."

Lindsey could be seen looking at a pamphlet that held more information. Matt walked over to her. "Find something."

"Photography." She says. "I do like taking pictures and who knows, this might be what I want to do later."

Matt smiled as Scott walked over to them. Lindsey smiled as they just talked as some watched them. Especially Lindsey Gilbert and Matt Donavan.
