Lindsey knew that Matt was trying to get his mom a job so she decided to surprise him with dinner tonight. She smiled as she answered the phone. "Hey, Care. No I'm heading to the store Matt is trying to get his mom a job and I want to celebrate that he got her a job." She says.

Elena smiled at her sister as she was on the phone with Caroline. "Lindsey, I need your help."

"Care, I have to go. I'll let you know if Matt and Scott managed to help Kelly get the job." She said as she hung up. "What do you need me to do?"

"Check the windows."

Lindsey smiled as she walked downstairs to do so. Later, she may go to the grille to see if there was good news. First, she needed to help with the mess.

After she helped, Lindsey went to the grille just for Matt to kiss her. The youngest Gilbert smiled as they pulled away. "I don't know if mom is going to stay or not."

"You'll see." She said. "I have a surprise later if you want me to come by."

"I would love for you to come by." He said as he kissed her. "I need to get back to work."

"Okay." She said as they kissed one last time before walking away.

Matt shook his head smiling as he wondered what that surprise is, but he needed to focus on getting his mom to work. He can't be the only one to bring money home.

Later that night, Matt called Lindsey to tell her that Caroline found Vicki's body causing her to run out of her house and head straight to Matt's. When she arrived, she saw Elena's car causing her to walk in to see Scott hugging Elena. "Matt?" Elena said causing him to go straight to Lindsey.

"Thank you for being here." He said kissing her head.

"I'm so sorry."

Caroline looked at Elena who looked a bit shock with how Matt went past her into Lindsey's arms. She knew right there that Matt did move on, but Scott needs to see that it's time to move on, even if Elena shows that she still likes him.

Matt looked at Lindsey and kissed her. She smiled as she kissed him back. "Will you stay the night?" He asked.

"Of course, Matt."

"I need you now more then ever."

Lindsey nodded as she stayed in his arms. She was falling more in love with Matt then she thought was possible.
