Lindsey was at her locker as Matt walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her. "How about the two of us have a date night?" He asked her making her smile.

"I like the sound of that." She tells him. "What should we do? Unless you want to stay home and cuddle."

"Stay home."

Lindsey smiled as Caroline walked over. "Let's have a triple date." She tells them causing Lindsey and Matt to share a look. "With Elena and Stefan. Just to get pass the old feelings."

"Sounds like a bad idea." Lindsey said. "Elena might bring up her past with Scott and Matt. I don't want to go to hear any of that."

Matt watched Lindsey walk away and sighed as he looked at Caroline before walking away. Caroline sighed as she knew that Lindsey pointed out the truth. "Maybe it is a bad idea."

That night, Matt saw Stefan arriving with flowers as he had some for Lindsey. He walked up behind Stefan as Elena opened the door. "Thank you, Stefan." She said as she saw the flowers in Matt's hand. "Are those for..."

"Lindsey." He tells her as Lindsey poked her head around Elena.

"You didn't have too." She said as she moved past Elena and Stefan. "Are we ready?"

"Let's go." Matt says.

Elena and Stefan smiled at the two as they walked away. Elena smiled as Matt proved to her little sister that she was the one he wants. "He finally proved her that it's not me." She said smiling. "Let's go."

Lindsey laughed as she got in the car smiling. She saw Elena and Stefan getting in Elena's car before they drove off to meet up with Caroline and Scott. Matt grabbed her hand making her smile. Maybe this date may not be as bad as she thought.

Walking into the Grille, Lindsey smiled as she was enjoying this date. "Are you having fun?" Matt asked causing her to smile.

"Yes. I thought Elena would try to see if you or Scott still have feelings for her."

"No." He tells her. "I moved on the moment when I realized that it should have been you from the moment we met. I realized the night of the decade dance that it should have always been you." Lindsey smiled. "Let's enjoy the rest of our night."

Lindsey nodded as they walked over to join in on the others. Matt kissed her head till they heard Scott and Elena talking about their past. Lindsey looked at Matt as he grabbed her hand and walked her over to the bar to order them something to drink. "You're not..."

"No." He said. "I have moved on and I'm not reliving the past. I want to make memories with you, Lindsey."

Lindsey smiled as this made her happy. She nodded as they shared a kiss. "What do you want to do now?"

"Let's go to my house and do the original plan. Watch a movie and cuddle."

"I would love that."

Caroline and Elena walked out to see Lindsey and Matt leaving. Caroline smiled as Matt proved to Lindsey that she was the one for him now. Elena smiled as she was a little frightened by the guy thinking she was Katherine.

At Matt's, Lindsey and Matt didn't care for the movie as they laid on the couch making out. The door open causing them to look up to see Scott dragging in a drunk Kelly. "I think I should go." She tells him.

"I'll see you tomorrow."

"Bye." She said kissing him before putting her jacket on and leaving.

Matt looked at his mom shaking his head. "I don't even want to know." He said as he helped Scott take Kelly up to her room.
