One thing Lindsey can look back on was that Damon was at her house cooking and then the party the next day where Caroline showed her jealousy side to Elena as Lindsey wasn't fazed by it. Matt was proving to her that he wants to be with her. That's why she stayed the night with him. "Matt, stop." She said laughing as he kissed her.

"No."

Lindsey smiled as they shared a kiss. They heard the door opening and looked to see Kelly Donavan. "Mom." Matt said surprised.

"Hi." Lindsey said.

"Lindsey." Kelly said hugging her.

"I'll see you later, Matt."

Matt watched her leave causing him to look at his mom as he thinks Lindsey believes she won't be accepted because she's not her sister which he thinks is crazy.

Later that night, Lindsey stood with Caroline as she talked about Scott's mom not liking her. "I don't know about Kelly. I mean she was nice to me in person, but I knew she liked Elena more."

"Who doesn't?"

Lindsey shrugged as she saw Matt. "Hey." She said as he kissed her. "I see your mom is here."

"Yeah. I'm going to go find us a table."

Lindsey nodded as Kelly walked over to get a ticket. "Here you go, Mrs. Donavan."

"Your sister hurt my son and he goes to you." She said. "I like you, Lindsey, but you know that I enjoyed Elena."

"She didn't treat him right. They seemed the perfect couple, but she never was there for him. I was and if you can't stand to see your son has moved on then that's on you."

Matt stood not to far shocked that Lindsey stood up to his mom as Elena walked over. Lindsey walked away causing Matt to grab her and kiss her making her smile. He pulled back as Scott walked over to Caroline. "No one's never done that before."

"Matt, she can like my sister all she wants, but it's who you want."

"I have who I want."

Lindsey smiled as she rested her head on his chest as the drawing started. Scott and Caroline walked over to them as they watched. Matt held Lindsey in his arms as they watched. When it was Damon's turn, Lindsey listened to the way he spoke to Alaric causing her to be more aware of him. "I see why Caroline hates him." She said. "He's an ass."

Matt laughed as he kissed her head.

Later that night, Lindsey went home with Caroline as Matt and Scott spoke to their mothers for how they treated them. Lindsey laid down as her and Caroline talked about a double date soon.
