Lindsey smiled was half asleep as she walked through the school yard. Matt watched Scott redirect Lindsey toward their table as Matt grabbed the girl and sat her down. "I was heading to my locker." She said looking at him.

"You're not now." Scott said making Lindsey sigh. "You look like you have been up all night." She nodded. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing really, just sitting up most of the night trying to get my work caught up." She tells him.

"Linds, you could have told me and I could have helped." Matt said.

"Matt, thats sweet of you, but you have your sister to worry about. I wouldn't want to be a burden."

"You're not a burden." Matt tells her making her smile. "Why would you think that?"

"The way my brother and sister hide things from me." Lindsey said as she stood up. "I'm going to go turn these in."

Matt and Scott watched as Lindsey walked away. Scott saw Elena and glared at the girl he loved. She made his best friend feel like something that she's not. Elena saw the glare and wondered what she had done.

Through out the day, Lindsey focused on her school work. No matter how tired she was. Scott watched worried for his dear friend and walked over to her. "You need to go home and rest."

"I have cheer practice." She says.

"I'll talk to Caroline." Scott said as he texted the blonde.

Matt helped her through the school. Scott looked up and smiled at them and hopes Matt sees what he and everyone else sees. Lindsey Gilbert was perfect for Matt Donavan.

Later that night, Lindsey heard talking and walked downstairs yawning. Elena turned and smiled as she saw her sister. "How do you feel?"

"Tired and now I'm hungry." She replies as she walked into the kitchen. Caroline smiled as she watched her friend walk in. "I'm sorry about not showing up..."

"Lindsay, you were up all night." Caroline said. "You're okay and I know you know the moves."

Lindsey nodded as she walked back upstairs. Bonnie sighed as she knew that the middle Gilbert was tired from nothing, but studying. Elena walked upstairs to see what Lindsey was doing.

Lindsay sat reading a book as she ate. She heard her phone ping and grabbed it. Smiling as the text was from Matt. Tomorrow night is game night and Lindsey was looking forward to that.

The next night, Lindsey arrived making Caroline hug her. "You're here." She said. "I thought you wouldn't come."

"Caroline, I like cheering and plus we aren't a team if I left." She said. "We're a team together, Care and you know that."

Caroline smiled as she had a friend. Elena and Bonnie never understood the two. Lindsey was too kind as Caroline was obnoxious. Lindsey smiled as her and Caroline walked to the other cheerleaders.

Once they got to take a break, Lindsey was walking around looking for her sister when she saw fighting. "Oh no." She mumbled as she ran over to see Tyler and Jeremy fighting. "That's enough!" She says. "Tyler go! Jeremy, go home." She tells him.

Jeremy nodded making Lindsey turn around. He picked up a glass bottle. "Lindsey!"

She turned just get cut. "Lindsey?" Jeremy said worried.

"Lindsey!" Matt and Scott said as they got over to her.

"I'm fine." She replies.

Matt caught her as she was about to faint. "Still not a fan of blood." He said as he carried her off. "Scott, tell Tanner that I'm taking Lindsey home."

"Gotcha." He said as he ran to search for Mr. Tanner.
