Before Selene can even stand up, she heard a playful voice.

"My, my, it seems another lady has fallen to my charms." A smooth voice teased out. And that's when Selene felt that an arm from behind was still wrapped around her shoulder. Hugging his arm around her upper body.

The man must've clutched my shoulder to immediately pull me backwards.

"Lady Selene are you alright?" The leading middle aged servant belonging to Princess Nadia helped her to stand.

Selene balanced herself and glanced towards the man who saved her.

The playful man was already standing up and was being help by a man when they made eye contact.

Selene didn't hide her curious gaze towards him. She can see that the man is quiet mischievous looking. The smile on his face seems too carefree and teasing. And his foxy eyes are completely shut when he smile, making anyone unable to see it anymore. Regardless, she cannot deny the fact that he's good looking and refined.

Based on his hair and clothing, Selene guessed that he's from another empire. Nobody in their empire possesses a coppery colored hair. And the dangling jewel on his ear, shining brightly, wasn't really worn by men in Arien Empire.

"This Lady thank you for your generosity." Selene bowed her head earnestly. The man with copper colored hair advances in front of her after she straightened up. "Lady, there's no need to be so polite. Such trivial matter." Selene can finally see his eyes when he's up close.

It's amber. Extremely light amber that one may mistake it for gold. When he stared at Selene with his eyes coupled with it's color. It really seems like the man was a such a devilish fox.

"Although I wouldn't mind to know your name as a thank you My Lady." The man smiled again, showing a toothy grin.

"I am Selene Colin Fasci, the only Mistress in the Marquis Fasci Household." Selene offered her hand, waiting for his introduction. "Atticus Nebarious Celeste, the second nephew of Empress Prissia in the Kii Empire."

Atticus held Selene's palm, slightly lowering his head to lay a kiss on the back of her hand. He gently smiled when he finally let go of her hand. "Lady Selene, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"Likewise Lord Atticus." Selene replied softly.

Everybody was stunned silly after the accident, thus when the too finally interacted. They still remained on the side.

"Selene! Are you alright?!" When the Princess finally collected herself for a little bit from the shock. She forced herself to stand up and moved towards Selene's side.

She was both shaken up and worried. As she thought that her dear friend will be hurt. Selene nodded at her and pat her shoulder reassuringly.

Nadia teared up after that, then she hugged Selene, wailing like a baby.

When she finally stopped, her face was flushed red.

"Lord Atticus, thank you for saving my friend! You're truly heaven sent! Nadia exclaimed unreservedly. Making the servants under her feel embarrassed.

The Princess is too tactless and straightforward!

"The Princess is making me feel embarrassed. It is my pleasure to save a lady as beautiful as Lady Selene." Atticus laughed handsomely. Showing a roguish type that differs from the men in the capital.

Princess Nadia's servants all flushed from the sight.

Only the Princess and Selene remained unaffected.

The Princess being so tactless and simple minded as to not realize his flirting. And Selene, being naturally calm and indifferent in every situation.

"You have my gratitude Lord Atticus, and for that the Household of Marquis is indebted to you." Selene seriously retorted. "Do not hesitate to visit me when you require my assistance."

Atticus appeared suprised at the moment but quickly grin like a playful fox again. "Of course Lady Selene."

"Then I'll take my leave now." Selene let out a smile small then bowed, she quickly left the space with Princess Nadia and her servants.

Atticus watched her retreating back for a while, then lifted his right hand to stare at it. The smile on his face gradually disappeared, making his slanted, thin almond eyes reveal the curious amber orbs.

The black haired man beside Atticus glance at his master's unsmiling face. It was rare of him to be serious. "Your Highness, is there a problem?"

Atticus dropped his hand, moving towards the direction of the main palace. The serious expression on his face was wiped out. An easy going smile replaced the previous emotion.

"A problem you say Arin?" Arin let out a hum. "Hmmm it's not a problem, rather something interesting~" Atticus grinned mischievously, mouthing the word interesting in a singsong vouce. He didn't say another word after that. Much more to his servant's dismay. Arin just sighed, wordlessly, sauntering beside him.

His Lord must've felt something again.

"Welcome home Mistress."  The group of servants lined up outside the manor, bowed and welcomed Selene as soon as she stepped out of the carriage.

"Eh........what a crowd, how'd you know I'll come back today?" Selene merely glance at them then proceeded to stroll towards the entrance.

Philip opened his mouth to reply but got interrupted by Selene.

"No nevermind, don't answer that. " She momentarily forgot how many men his brother Jun have in both Qana and Casia. And besides his new position as the Deputy General isn't for display.

"Sister!" Elias let out a grin and jumped unreservedly in front of Selene.

"Welcome back! You've been gone for so long! You said only a month, and yet it's already been two and half month since you've left." Elias pouted in front of his elder sister. Looking at her like an abandoned puppy.

Selene sighed in her heart. She knew he'd be like this. "Why are you still like this, didn't I already promised you the jade dagger?"

"Yeah but where is it now?" Elias pouted again, stomping his feet lightly. Making the maids to look away in embarrassment.

Their young master didn't really care about keeping the appearances

"It's in the carriage." Elias hugged Selene tightly. "Sister really is the best!" Then left to get the item without any delay.

Selene just shake her in exasperation.
