Liliana's p.o.v.

We were dressed and ready for our big day. Our graduation. Oh my! I can't believe we are actually graduates and will earn our degree in a few hours. I will soon start working. Madd and Vi has already gone to campus.

Stacie and Mum will soon arrive at my apartment. They wanted to congratulate me before anyone else would. 'Ding dong'! I heard the bell ring. They are here. They are finally here. I hummed before opening the door for them. A warm surge of gratitude and love for them strikes through me and I threw my arms around them in display of affection. Oh I love my family.

"Hey lilly, we are pleased to see you too." Mum said hugging me. Pushing me back, with her hands on my shoulder, she said, "you look good and happy sweetheart."

"Yes Mum, I am. I'm so excited to see you. And Stacie, I've missed you." I said hugging her again. My eyes were teary. They had no idea how I've missed them. She smiled, her beautiful eyes looking so exited as they  followed me into the living room.

"Shouldn't we be going now? Don't want you to be late." Mum said. "Mum, we have an hour. Do you want some tea? How is everyone in Chicago? How is Lia?" I bombard them with questions.

"Everyone is fine in chicago. Infact, they are waiting for you to come home." Awwww, I've missed Chicago. Missed everything about it. My house, Lia, the servants, the swimming pool, my room and everything. "Mum and Stacie, how is my dress?" I asked, stepping back so they could see me.

      "Honey, you look great."
       "Lilly, you look so beautiful."
After the compliments, and talking about just everything, time was up.

Stacie pulls the car into the campus parking lot and we followed the stream of black and red gowns, heading towards the huge assembly hall we have.

The hall was crowded. Mum and Stacie has gone to sit with the other parents and well wishers while I made my way to my seat. I was wearing my black long dress and my cap. I sat among the students whose surnames also began with B. I was at the second row. Not too far from the platform. I spotted Gianna and brother in law sited beside Mum and Stacie and I gave them a wave.

The hall was filled with students. We were over 700 I suppose. Madd and Vi sat beside me. It was funny the way their surname also began with B. I didn't even know how I made friends whom I shared a lot in common with.

At exactly ten, our staffs appeared from behind the stage. Each person taking their seat on the platform. Last on the stage were the students given the chance to deliver speeches and of course, our valedictorian.

My gaze shifted to Sir Peter who was talking with Rose, one of the graduates and my friend from my class when a man stepped out from behind the curtains. My eyes locked on a familiar pair of eyes that I've always thought about each night. My heart pounded and my breathing shallowed. But why? Why do I feel this way? Why does he look so familiar to me? Throwing a swift glance at us, he stared ahead as he made his way to his seat.

I couldn't take my eyes off him. His hair, his beautiful eyes reminded me of someone I've seen before. Someone whose eyes has hunted me for three days now. The man in the car that almost hit me. Could he perhaps be the one? And to talk about his beauty, it was distracting as ever. I could feel my mouth pressed into a hard line as I swallowed. My heart kept pounding and I could hear it in my ears. Who is this guy? And why does he look so familiar to that man? His eyes, his hair, I could feel he was loaded.

He sat looking so serious and self-contained. As our Principal got on his feet and kicked on the proceedings with his speech, I watched the man subtly scanning the hall as if he was looking for someone or something, I wasn't sure. Just then, his beautiful eyes found mine. He stared at me, his face apathetic, completely inscrutable. Hypnotised by his glare, I blinked several times. He was looking at me and only me.
