Lilly's p.o.v.

Ivan was standing in front of the floor to ceiling glass window, his hands in his pockets and his sleeve rolled a little to the top exposing his muscular arm. He didn't look back to see who it was. He couldn't sense my presence? Too bad. I thought it'll he'll sense it like how it's done in books and movies. I decided to walk over to him. His back was still turned to me, and when I took the first and the second step was when he turned abruptly to look at me. His eyes widened when he saw me standing in front of him but it was ephemeral.

His hands feel of his pocket as he stared at me. His dark hair was laid and has fallen perfectly on his head. His jaw was strong and slightly clenched as if he wanted to come back to reality. Hello Ivan, I'm right here. I took one step up at him knowing that was all the assurance he needed that I was indeed here. With his piercing gorgeous eyes fixed on me, he took ginormous steps over to and pulled me into his arms.

Gosh, Ivan smelled great. His muscular body around me screams perfection. I slowly brought my arms up and wrapped it around him. His embrace was comforting. It gave me a sense of belonging. Don't get me wrong. I've not fallen for him yet. He just made me feel good. It took some few more seconds for him to release me. Then he brought his hand up to my cheek and rubbed it.

"Hello Ivan." I whispered in a light tone, his hand still cupping my cheek. His lips widened a bit and I knew he was smiling. I thought him to smile. It wasn't even hard. I'm proud. I gave him a big smile too. Of course I will. Smiling is what I love doing most on earth. With his piercing gorgeous eyes still glued on me, he said in his dark and think tone; "Hi my little angel."

Little angel? Is that what he calls me now. I've always wanted to be called little angel. That's what Dad used to call me. He said I was his angel, his last baby and his happiness. I still can't recollect all that he said but those words kept to me till now even though I was so little then. I guess they stuck in my head since they are so important to me. "Hello" I said again.

My smile widened more to Ivan. He kept looking straight into my eyes. Ivan, as if he has fallen in love with me already. My hand slipped off his back and that was when he finally let go of me. He gestured me to the couch facing just the window he was standing at, exposing the incredible sky scrappers that lined up in front of me. Of course I took my seat and he sat on his leather-clad chair behind his massive executive desk that sits prominently in the center, crafted from the finest mahogany and its surface gleaming under the soft light.

"What happened Mr. Mondragon? I did hear from you the whole of today." I spoke. Yes, I came to him so I had to speak up first. He stood from his chair and went to stand at the exact spot he was when he entered. "I had something to attend to at home Lilly." He spoke softly. More like the thing he was talking about was something he cared about. I just knew it. Then he looked over his shoulders at me and said, "I'm sorry I didn't call you."

There. He apologized again. Ivan has actually learnt that from me as well. It made him more human with emotions. "I was worried, I just had to pass by this place to check up on you." I said smiling at him. He looked over his shoulder at me again, then extended his hand as if he wanted me to take it. I gently placed my hand in his and he held on to it, rubbed his big finger on it and pulled me to him.

It was a swift move but a smooth one too. I just stood right beside him looking into his grey eyes. He brought his hand close to my check and tugged a loose hair around my ear. "Thank you Lilly" he said and I nodded.

Ivan's p.o.v.

"Ivan, just carry the little girl." Lilly said, pouting her lips at me. She already had the kids all around her, pulling her hand. I looked at the girl she wanted me to carry. She was just a little girl. Probably at the age of 5. She had pigtails which was held neatly with a band. Well, she's very cute, I said in my head. Almost all the children at the orphanage are cute.

I brought my hand out and held the little girl. She was light and didn't weigh that much. Then she smiled brightly at me and I nodded. I was still not used to touching the kids at the orphanage. I give my gifts then leave quietly. But Lilly on the other hand wanted us to play with them. And guess what, the kids bonded with her so fast. She played with them, run around the compound with them, helped them to tidy up and a whole lot.

I was just admiring her from a far. Then came this little girl I was carrying asking me to come and play. It was as if Lilly intentionally sent her over and of course I had to carry her. "What's your name little one?" I said to her. "Laura, Mr. Mon-dragon." She said. It's such a beautiful name for this beautiful girl. I nodded and said; "do you want us to play with Ms. Lilly?" Of course as expected, she nodded with passion. I raised her and placed her on my neck like how Lilly and Romeo did. It looked fun, to be honest.

Laura held my hair as if her life depends on it. This is my first time holding a kid like this. She giggled when I walked closer to Lilly and said, "look Ms. Lilly." Pointing at me. She's bragging that I've carried her. She has to brag. Mon-dragon himself had carried her on his neck. Lilly gestured for the other kids to come and surround me and immediately I asked what?, they all shouted, I want you to carry me too.

OMG! What have I placed myself into?
