Ivan's p.o.v.
Lilly's hands were in mine when we stepped outside. Romeo came out to open the door for us and as she spotted him, she pulled back. She opened her mouth to talk but was actually out of words. I just knew it.
"Mr. Mon-dragon ....he.... I've seen him...... He used a car to almost hit me. What is he doing here?" Then she covered her mouth, her eyes wide. "Or he is your driver?"
"Hi Ms. Liliana. Nice to meet you, again." Romeo said extending his long hairy hands to greet her. She didn't take it, instead, she looked at him with wide eyes, then me.
"Please care to explain? Are you doing this because you used your car to hit me and wanted to make it up to me by taking me out on a date? You never liked me?" She looked so cute even though she was angry. She pouted her lips, crossed her arms over her chest and kept tapping her feet on the ground as if she was waiting for me to explain.
"What? No. I used my car to hit you, yes, but that doesn't mean I'm taking you out on a date to make it up to you. And what are you saying? I like you. Do you think I will drive all the way here this morning if I didn't like you? Or do you think I will wait for you for almost an hour to take you out on a date if I didn't like you?" I said matter of factly. I just waited for almost an hour. I, Ivan Mon-dragon has never waited for anyone all my life. It is always the opposite and here I am, and I've just waited for Lilly for almost an hour.
She looked at me for a while as if she was now processing what I just told her and then nodded saying "okay, if you say so." Actually, I like Lilly. It was as if the car hit her on purpose so I could see and make her mine. As if we were supposed to meet.
I like her so much. I don't know why but I do. Whenever I spot her, my heart rejoices and I can't stop looking at her. I don't know how but I just feel connected to her . That she is the one.
Lilly sat in the car not knowing where we were going as she kept looking at me with those bright and big eyes.
Actually, I didn't know exactly where we were going and Romeo was just driving slowly while looking in the review mirror to see if I might say something but no, I had no place in mind. I wanted to take her to the gym in my penthouse but I lied to Faye that she should come and meet me there. She insisted on meeting me and it pissed me off so I lied. Don't get me wronged. I'm not a bad person. I just did a bad thing but with good intentions.
I heard girls like Ice cream so maybe I should send her to an ice cream parlor. "Where to boss?" Romeo finally asked. "Tilly's cream." I mentioned the first ice cream parlor that came to mind. It was the first mom sent me when I was 13 years. They have the best ice creams.
I just remembered the day she sent me. I was insisting on eating ice cream that very day and I was yelling on top of my voice ice cream, ice cream. I know I made a fuss that day. "Do you like Ice cream?" She asked.
Finally, she has finally spoken ever since we started the drive. "Yeah. They are like one of my favorites." I said as I saw her smiling. "Me too. I love ice creams. Especially the strawberry flavored one's. They taste so delicious and are like..........." She kept talking. So cute. I wasn't even listening to her. I was only watching how she kept talking, her small lips patting and widening each time she smiled.
I was interrupted when a computer like voice spoke in the car. "Mr. Ivan, you have an incoming call from Kelvin Wigglesworth." My phone was connected to the bluetooth in the car. Lilly looked at me surprised. I get that look. She had no idea Kelvin knows about the relationship I have with her.
"Hey ma guy. How are you doing?" Kelvin asked. I really like this guy. Even though he was older than me, he behaves as if we are colleagues. He's not afraid of me nor does he behave like my Dad. But still, he's very successful and I like him for that. "I'm good Kelvin. I'm great."
