Lilly's p.o.v.
You know Moms are the best right? That kind of feeling when you thought you were lost but your Mom brought you back into your senses? That was exactly what Mom did. "How did it go? What did Mommy say?" I looked over to see Madd and Vi standing so close to each other as they peeped their through the balcony door. They kept blinking and their eyes were full of excitement, I could just tell. I walked over to them and told them everything. They listened as expected and they even gave me so many things to actually think of.
I don't have to rush things and I want what's best for both of us. A piece of advice to you all, next time you need relationship advice, move straight to your parents neither divorced or still married. Still married parents will give you the keys to a happy marriage and divorced ones will tell you about what to do to keep your family together.
Walking over to my room, I changed into a more comfortable cloth. Hoodie with shorts. It was already in the afternoon and my two best friends have already prepared our lunch. I went over to the kitchen and served myself with some noddles and chicken. You have no idea how I love to eat noddles. It is my favorite food because it tastes great and easy to chew.
Ivan's p.o.v
Business meeting went well as usual and our products are making the best sales which means more money, more fame, hard working and more employees. I donate 5% of the company's profit to orphanages around the country every 6 months and I've been reminded it was almost time to donate ones again. I usually enjoy giving out to them. The smiles on their faces anytime I visit sets my heart at ease. Even though I don't smile or touch them, they are always fond of me. What can I say? Charisma is what I posses. I'll definitely take my little angel with me this time.
Spinning on my chair in my office, Lucy walked up to me in her high platform hill which keeps making sound at each step. I stopped spinning and adjusted my clothes like how it usually is and looked up at her. She looked at me oddly but I knew she brushed off the thought of asking me. I don't spin in my chair at all, never before but here I was doing it. It felt good though.
She arranged the files how she usually arranges them and handed me my pen. "Sir I need you to sign these documents. The first one is your approval of donating to the orphanage next week under your name and the other one is the new project you want to start." I quickly glanced through not because I didn't trust her but because I'm used to it. After I finished, she packed them and then gave me a light bow before excusing herself.
Just as she was about to exit the room, Romeo came in. Both slightly bowed at each other and went their separate ways. He walked over to me and sat on the cough, then he kept looking at me as if he wanted to say something. I ignored him at first but he cleared his throat countless times which made me snap. "What is it Romeo?"
"Boss, will we go to Miss. Liliana's house again?" I knew it. Something was up. I just knew it when he was shooting glares at one of angel's besties. The rude one. He didn't get anyone to like than the rude one? The calm and nice one is there as well. Romeo sure didn't choose peace. "So you'd go see someone?" He looked taken aback a bit.
"No. Not at all. I only wanted you to meet Ms. Liliana. That's all." I narrowed my eyes at him and nodded in suspicious. "Wanted me to meet my angel." He nodded eagerly like a lost puppy and kept looking in my face to give him a reply. That won't be such a bad idea. I mean even though I got to take her out on a date this morning, I still longed to see her. And I guess it is a way to make Romeo meet his new found crush. And here I was thinking I was the only one in love.
I checked everything to make sure I had nothing left to do for the day, took my jacket off my jacket stand and walked majestically out of the room. When Lucy spotted me, she came over and said; "Sir, you are going somewhere?" As she can see. I placed both hands in my pocket and said, "Yes I'm going out. In fact, I'm done for the day." She looked surprised at first but then nodded. Yes, I know I've done two things I've never done before. Spinning on my chair and now closing from work earlier than normal.
Romeo opened the door to the car and I majestically entered. He sat at the drivers seat and we started the journey. We were only few minutes into the drive when Lucy called. I asked Romeo to pick up and put it on loud speaker and he did just that. "Lucy, speak." I said like I always say. "I'm sorry Sir but we have an emergency. Miss Rodriguez is here at the moment and she's insisting you talk to him."
"I want to talk to Ivan right away!" Yes. I could hear the voice. I even forgot I told her I'd be at the penthouse. "Give me the phone!" She shouted and I knew she just snatched it from Lucy's hand. It didn't take long when I heard her voice booming through the phone. "Ivan why would you ask me to meet you up at your house when you clearly knew you won't be there? Do you have any idea how long I've waited. I even accidentally broke my nail while waiting for you!"
Broke a nail? How does that even concern me? "I'll give you money for a new one. Is that okay?" I asked her. "Yeah. I guess. So where are you? You are not here at the office and your secretary won't tell me where you went." I just sighed. She's so full of drama. I assure you, she can go on and on and never get tired. I felt like just hanging up on her but Mom didn't raise me like that to disrespect a female.
"Baby, I can come where you are. I don't mind. I've just missed you." Oh here we go again. "You know what, I'll meet you some other time. I'll make it up to you by taking you out to dinner. How does that sound?" I simply said. She can't come and ruin my plans with my angel. "Baby, I'd love that." Then she blew me a kiss over the phone. Sometimes, I just wish she falls in love with someone else and leave me alone.
Romeo couldn't contain his laugh. "Your fiancée is something else." It didn't take long when we reached the place I wanted to be. Liliana was watering the plants in front of the house. She would bend, sniff a flower and pour water on it. So adorable. I slowly got out of the car and walked towards her. It was so heartwarming the way she cherished nature and didn't give a care about any other thing.
As I took the last few steps towards her, she looked back at me, eyes widened and ready to pour the water in the can at me. Defensive mode activated. I raised my two hands to surrender and she breath a sound of relief. "You really scared me. I thought I was almost about to get kidnapped." She said facing me fully now.
"Sorry I scared you." There, I apologized again. I just said it like how anyone else would say it without hesitation. I'm now apologizing. It feels nice to apologize to someone you actually like. I feel good myself already. Liliana chuckled a bit and looked up at me. "See who's apologizing." I know and I'm impressed of myself.
I stood in front of her, admiring her angelic feature. Her face was bare with no makeup on. She wrapped her hair in a bun and a ribbon. Few droplet of water stained her peach dress and in between her finger is a flower petal. "So, what brings you here Mr. Mon-dragon?" She asked looking up at me for an answer. I missed you of course, I wish I said it out loud but it was only in my mind.
"I came to see you." She nodded her head for me to continue and I knew she was asking for what? I just held her right hand, gave her the smile she taught me and said, "why don't we talk inside? We can't keep standing here." I whispered to her. She looked up and down at me, widened his eyes and said, "I am so sorry. My bad, let's go inside so I could offer a seat." She looked a little embarrassed I guess. But I actually said that because I wanted to buy time for myself to think about what else to tell her apart from the truth. The truth that I only missed her. I wouldn't mind standing here with her for even a day. That's only if she could stand.
