(So if you can't tell, Signing is gonna be in italics so that you can differ between, I only put it in bold the last chapter so you could see it.)

(Third Person's POV)

Seven boys sat at the entrance to a coffee shop just off their campus, waiting on their ever late best friend.

Soon enough, said boy came sprinting around the corner, his soft plum colored sweater billowing around him as he ran. The boys smiled at him and Mark opened his arms, bracing himself to catch his clumsy friend.

Just as he had predicted, Minki tripped over his own feet, right into Marks awaiting arms. Minki smiled sheepishly, lifting his hand. 'Thanks.'

Mark chuckled and helped him up right, Jisung coming and dusting off his hyung, raising a brow at him in a silent question. The others waiting expectantly for an answer.

Minki got flustered, messing with his hands before starting his explanation. 'Well, you see...there was this really cute cat on my way here and I had already been late because of studying for my upcoming tests, but it was so cute and I got distracted playing with it and then some girl came up to me thinking I was hurting it and took it away and then started to chew me out for no reason so I couldn't just leave while she was still talking to me and-'

Chenle held Minki's hands to stop him. "It's okay, don't worry about it." Minki nodded slowly, letting his hands drop to his sides.

Jisung came up, wrapping an arm around the shorter boys shoulders. "Come on! Let's go in!" With that being said they made their way in, ordering their favorite drinks and snacks before finding a table all the way in the back of the cafe, not wanting to be bothered by random girls trying to get their numbers.

Chenle sat infront of Minki, giving him a look. 'You do know these kinds of things wouldn't happen if you just smiled more and dressed brighter, you know that, right?' Minki frowned a little bit. He only ever smiled around his friends.

Minki wasn't the best kid. His parents started to neglect him after having his baby sister. But he didn't blame his sister for that, no, they actually had an amazing relationship.

Minki couldn't say the same for his relationship with his parents however.

After his mother found out he was deaf she started to grow distant, thinking that her son could never become anything decent with a disability like that. He couldn't care less. He was going to prove her wrong.

Unfortunately, because of this, Minki didn't smile a lot like he did when he was a child. He believed that his smiles should be reserved only for the people he was close to. He intended to keep that mindset.

After the boys had eaten they left the cafe, heading to the all too familiar playground that they used to visit when they were kids.

Children were running around screaming and having fun as the boys walked past, sometimes having to abruptly stop so as to not hit the small ones as they made their way to the woods behind it.

As they traveled through they looked around.

They were surrounded by flora and even a bit of brave fauna that dared to come close to them. It was a beautiful sight to them and it calmed them down after another stressful week in collage.

Smiles came to their faces and they all carefully held hands, not wanting anyone to get lost on their way to their secret place.

Finally, after a long walk, they made it.

There, in a perfect circle clearing, was a nicely build cabin.

There was a beautiful lake off to the side of it and wild flowers of every color scattered all around.

This.

This was their secret place.

What originally started out as a crappy, dingy little club house now renovated into a beautiful cabin with aesthetic decor around the entirety.

The boys often came here on breaks when they didn't want or couldn't go home to see family.

In the summer they would swim in the lake. In the winter they would all sit infront of the fireplace and tell stories or listen to music or watch a movie.

It was their home.

A safe place, away from the rest of the world and it's stresses.

They could be whoever they wanted to be here, and in the morning, they could see all the fauna of the forest around them right in their front yard, grazing and hunting around for their breakfast.

It was tranquil and beautiful and absolutely perfect for them.

They knew that if anything were to go wrong with anything in their lives, they could come here, no matter what.

They didn't know that there would come a day when every room was filled with people.
