(Minki's POV)

We had finally reached our cabin.

I smiled, happy that we had all pitched in to renovate it and make it more livable incase we wanted to spend the night in it.

I made my way away from the building and towards the lake beside it, feeling the other boys eyes on me, making me turn.

'im gonna go and sit by the lake for a little bit, okay? I'll be back inside in a second and I'll make some food alright?' They all nodded, smiling widely and heading inside as I continued my trek over to my favorite rock.

It was my thinking rock.

Whenever something was bothering me or if I just needed to be alone and think, I would come here and go to my thinking rock, watching everything move around me as I become consumed in my thoughts of anything and everything.

----+----

I carefully pulled myself up onto the rock, sitting down and staring out at the lake, watching as the fish come up to get some of the grubs sitting ontop of the water.

The deers were all around, some being brave enough to venture out into the yard to eat the wild flowers that never seemed to stop growing around here.

The birds flew around, landing and taking off again as they tried to find good worms to feed their young and themselves.

I smiled a little to myself, letting my thoughts consume me as I tried to memorize everything I was studying because I had an exam tomorrow that I absolutely couldn't fail no matter what.

----+----

When I had finally come back to, the sun was already setting.

I looked up at the pretty pink, purple, orange, and yellow sky. I pulled my phone out, taking a quick picture, somehow able to catch two birds flying by at just the right time and a mom and baby deer in the corner.

I smiled at the photo, saving it and shoving my phone back down in my pants pocket before going into the cabin and making my way into the kitchen, seeing Jisung and Chenle in there talking.

I gently tapped the counter, knowing my nail probably made a sound that alerted them of my presence.

I smiled a little at them. 'Hey, I'm gonna make dinner. Let's head back after we eat. Me, Mark, Jeno and you have some exams tomorrow.' I said, looking at Chenle when I was talking about the exams.

They nodded, scurrying out and I watched Jisung's cheeks move as he said something. Probably telling the others I was gonna be making dinner. I let out a soundless chuckle and got to work, thinking hard on what the boys would like to have for supper before big and stressful testing.

I smiled wide when the idea struck me. I got to work.

----+----

I walked over to the doorway of the kitchen, wiping my hands on a dish towel before replacing the best friend rings that all of us had.

I looked up to the bell at the top of the doorway, reaching up and ringing it, feeling the vibrations of how loud it is through my bones.

I walked back into the kitchen and picked up some of the plates, making my way to the dining area and placing them down on the table before repeating the process untill all the dishes were on the table, steaming and ready to eat as soon as the boys came in.

In through the door came three sleepy boys. I smiled, going over and reaching out, fixing Marks hair, Jaemin's clothes and Jeno's hair as well. I soon lead them to the table, waiting for the other four to come and eat.

Soon enough they did and we all said our 'thank you's' before digging in.

I looked around, gauging their reactions to my food, seeing a positive feedback as usual. I smiled a bit more and went back to my own food, looking out of the window to see how dark it had gotten.

I turned back, tapping the table near Mark.

He looked up, still groggy from just waking up. I smiled a little before grabbing a napkin and wiping some sauce off his face. I then went back to what my original plan was. 'We're gonna have to use the beacon tonight Mark, it's gotten really dark and without it we won't be able to see.'

He took a moment to register what I had just told him before he looked past me and out the window, just as I did. He nodded softly, patting my hand as a way of saying that we would before we both went bad to eating.

I got sucked into my thoughts again and started to stress over my testing all over again, a frown settling on my features as I grabbed my plate and got up. 'Excuse me.' I said, going and washing it before going and searching for the flashlights so we could see where we were going on our way back to the dorms.

----+----

I carefully passed out the flashlights to the boys, taking their hands as we made our way back through the forest, making sure to keep as quiet as possible so as to not attract any dangerous animals.

I looked back, doing a headcount before we broke through the tree line.

What was once a park full of children was now full of drunk adults and teens trying to escape their shitty lives at home or trying to disobey their parents. I let go of Marks hand and turned, doing another head count before leading the way back to the dorms.

I bid each boy goodbye and good luck on their classes tomorrow before finally reaching mine and Jeno's dorm. I smiled at him, opening the door and holding it for him before stepping in behind him.

'Thank you for dinner hyung, it was delicious. Good luck on your tests tomorrow! You're gonna do great!' He said, changing out of his day clothes and into his PJs.

I smiled at him, doing the same. 'You too Jeno, and don't forget to be safe, don't want you or anyone else getting hurt.' I reminded. He nodded, giving me his big eye smile before pulling his blankets up over himself and resting.

I stayed up for a little longer, cramming any last minute knowledge in before crawling into bed, putting on my watch so I could feel when my alarm went off in the morning. I smiled at the sleeping Jeno before falling into slumber myself.
