(Third Person's POV)

The boys had finally made it back to the house and were running in, Lucas shoving the boys on the couch away and letting Jaehyun replace them with Minki as Taeyong ran to grab the first aid.

The other boys surrounded worriedly.

"What happened to Minki hyung?!" Jaemin said, biting on his lips as he stared at the blood coated shirt on what was left of the boys arm.

Taeyong came back, removing the shirt, blood splashing to the floor. He ignored it and cleaned up around the wound, pulling out a needle and some stitching thread, being careful and sewing up Minki's arm.

The whole room was silent as he did so, not wanting to break his concentration as he tended to the boy.

Taeyong sighed when it was finished, cleaning up around it again before wrapping it snuggly in bandages. He stopped, realizing there was still more bandage that he could wrap about Minki's body to keep his arm close to him. "Shotaro, go grab me some scissors please."

The younger boy looked confused but nodded, running and grabbing a pair, bringing them back to his hyung.

They all watched as Taeyong cut away Minki's shirt, maneuvering it off of him and wrapping the bandages across his shoulder, having what was left of his arm snug against his ribs so it could heal decently.

Taeyong gestured to Jaehyun to take Minki up to his room, keeping Yuta from following him.

----+----
(Yuta's POV)

I stared at Taeyong, feeling anger rising as he didn't let me follow Jaehyun up.

I smacked his hand off me.

"What's your problem? Why can't I go?" I yelled at him, seeing Jaehyun come down the stairs out of the corner of my eye.

Taeyong sighed, sitting down on the couch where Minny had previously been. "He was bit. Ten hadn't been thinking straight and in the attempt to get the monster off, he ended up cutting clean through Minki's arm with his own machete." I watched as Taeyong ran his hand through his hair, staring at the ground. "He asked us, that when we go home, if we could keep him locked in his room for a few days, just to see if Ten had cut high enough up to stop the infection entirely.."

I nodded slowly in understanding, feeling my knees become weak hearing that he might be infected now.

I shook my head softly, silently stumbling out and towards the crosses, looking up at our window, hoping that Minki will be okay.

----+----
(Third person's POV)

It had been a few days since the whole incident and Ten was feeling extremely guilty.

He looked over at Jaehyun who was sitting on the couch beside him, reading a book. "If...Minki was infected....wouldn't we know by now? Cause...we saw how fast Taeil changed..wouldn't it be the same for Minki, even if his arm was cut off?"

Jaehyun nodded, flipping the page. "We decided that was probably the case so now we're just waiting for him to wake up. His arm is healing well by the way." Ten nodded, leaning his head back.

----+----

Not even two hours later, Jaemin came bolting down the stairs, immediately busting out of the door and running to Yuta, calling for him.

"Yuta! Yuta hyung! He's awake!"

That got Yuta on his feet, both boys sprinting back into the house.

Yuta got to Minki's room before anyone else and engulfed the still groggy boy in a hug, crying into his shoulder.

Minki tried to hug his lover back, but was soon very much reminded of his missing arm. Yuta held Minki by his shoulders at arms length, looking over the boy with tears in his eyes.

He pulled the younger back into his chest and stroked his hair. "God...Thank God you're okay...You're okay..." He kept whispering, keeping a tight hold on the boy.

Minki looked confused, looking at the boys in the doorway. "H...how long was I out for?" He asked, his voice hoarse. Taeyong sat on the edge of Minki's bed. "You've been out for a few days now. I guess it shows that you can amputate the limb before the infection spreads, as long as you do it high and fast enough." Minki nodded, leaning against Yuta.

Their small moment was ruined by their phones, which had been long forgotten for a long time, going off with an emergency alert.

Jaehyun, the only one who ever kept his phone on him still, stared at it in shock.

He quickly ran up to the three on the bed. "They...they're sending out the military...to help anyone that's still alive."  He whispered in disbelief.

He turned his phone to them, showing the bright message on the screen.

Emergency alert:
To all survivors:
Please paint a large S.O.S on your roof's or in your yard.
The military is sending out helicopters to retrieve anyone that is still alive and not infected.
Bring any resources you have.

Taeyong stood up quickly. "Jae, Lucas, Ten, help me out that S.O.S."

Both boys nodded and they ran outside, just hoping that the helicopter would see it and come to get them, knowing it wasn't safe to be living here any longer with how far they had to travel to get supplies.

----+----

It had been only a few hours before the loud sound of a helicopter filled all of the boys ears.

They had collected all of their stuff together, even the crosses they had for their friends.

Minki felt terrible for having to leave Chenle's body, but he knew they wouldn't dig him up just cause it upset him to leave him.

The soldiers helped the boys into the helicopter, checking one by one of they were infected.

When they saw no signs, they took off, heading to a safe place where they would finally be able to relax a little and survive.

The end babes.
