"Kala was just looking for you, Tom." Abraxas quickly explains, swallowing thickly, nervously. "I was just telling her where you were."
Tom merely lifted an eyebrow. "Is that so?"
It was most definitely a threat. I could hear it so clearly. I could feel it in the air.
And it was frightening.
Bone chilling.
Even without him looking like a disfigured snake, he still had such a horrifying energy around him that made him so so terrifying. The beautiful face only made it worse. Like a dream turned into a nightmare.
I didn't know what to do. My mind was still swimming with the thought that I was not where I am supposed to be— that I have time travelled or something and I have somehow become Kala Emrys.
My dead aunt.
An aunt that must be dying very soon if I remember correctly.
She would die at the end of her sixth year.
And with the pin on my robe, it seems I'm either on my fifth or sixth year.
I did not have much time left though I did not understand why I was even here in the first place...
Tom— Voldemort glances down at me then, his eyes on my lips and I almost forgot that I fucking kissed Abraxas Malfoy, Draco's grandfather!
Messy.
This was so messy.
I needed to get out of here. I need to think. I need time to understand.
But I also needed to make sure that Tom Riddle doesn't kill Abraxas Malfoy for without Abraxas, there would be no Draco.
My Draco.
"I feel... faint." I managed to say, my eyes on Tom's. "I came here to look for you, to see if you think I'm warm."
The lie was terrible.
Sloppy.
And the Voldemort of my time would easily catch it.
But something in Tom Riddle's face softens and his expression, so trusting of me, it was so utterly tender that my insides pulled and pulled. My body— no, her body, was reacting to him, calling to him. Like twin souls that have found each other again.
His hand is on my forehead then, testing my temperature and he frowns. "Yes. You do feel warm. Come, let me take you to the Hospital Wing."
"Yes, can't have you sick on your first day of our sixth year, Kala." Abraxas adds a little too encouragingly. He was sweating... hard.
This makes Tom's hand on mine tighten and I immediately understand that these two do not like each other. But I also know that Kala Emrys was best friends with Abraxas Malfoy.
