Rabastan Lestrange leans back from me, his eyes wide and his body stiff with fear as he ever so inconspicuously attempts to get as far away from me as possible.

I have stopped breathing altogether.

Sometimes, I do that.

Especially when I'm so fucking furious. I have gone ever so still that my Knights around me all moved away, eyes diverted to the ground in submission.

All I could see was red, my hatred spilling out of me in waves of dark magic that quickly suffocated all that was nearby.

It was already incredibly difficult to leave Kala at all, every second that I was away from her was my own personal Crucio, literally counting down the seconds before I could see her again but to hear this? To hear someone yet again threatening to kill her?

My Kala?

They really never learn.

Just the mere thought of Kala and dying, has me nearly on my knees and vomiting. It felt like a knife to the heart, twisting and twisting, the worst pain in the entire world and that's only a mere thought.

I can't fathom even a reality without Kala.

A few hours away from her already has me in shambles... but the thought of her not existing at all, leaving me in this world alone? It was my own personal hell. And I can never let that happen.

It would ruin me.

I don't bother dismissing my Knights, as I stood, robes billowing in the wind and pointed to Lestrange before turning away and headed to where I've been dying to be since the moment I left her.

"Get your sister to drag that filthy bitch out of bed." I tell him, my words almost a hiss with how tightly my mouth was pressed. "Make sure it hurts or she'll be on the receiving end of my anger."

Lestrange sprints away, disappearing into the night and the flickering lights. By the time I get to the common room, it is already empty except for the two Lestranges and Walburga Black who was sprawled across the floor, bleeding from her head.

She was in absolute hysterics and I wandlessly sent a choking spell at her to silence the rubbish coming out of her mouth. I noticed that her face is all swollen and red— like she's been crying for hours and I find sick satisfaction that my Kala was the cause of that.

Good.

I hope she fucking burned this witch.

Kala has never been overly emotional or aggressive, but when triggered, and it happens rarely, it's as if a dragon is unleashed inside her. I have only ever seen it happen once, in our first year, when an older Slytherin was belittling me about my second hand robes. Kala had stood in front of me, wand out, eyes ablaze and the words that came out of her mouth... it wasn't something a well bred witch would ever say. And that's not counting the curses she unleashed. She took her detention like a champion too.
