There was a part of me that hates how quickly I seemed to assimilate with Kala Emrys' life. Like it was mine and I knew it deeply within my soul.

But there is another... that thrives in it, that lavishes in her life and I do not know which part is screaming louder.

"Don't forget now, Tom, Kala. Our little club is gathering soon and I need my guests of honor to be there with me." Professor Slughorn reminded us before we stepped out of class, giving us an excited wave. "I have a few people I would love for you both to meet."

"Of course, Professor." I nod, still smiling as I held on to the small potion bottle in my hand.

It was cheating as I've done this all before and was taught by the best Potioneer as well but I won the liquid luck.

And I found myself skipping happily to Divination with Tom Riddle by my side as he watched me smiling to myself.

"What will you use it for?" He asked, a small smile pulling at his lips.

"Oh, I don't know—" Maybe it could take me back home. Maybe I could even take it now. "A little bit of luck is always good to have."

"You must really have wanted such luck." Tom continued with a laugh. "I've never seen you so focused in Potions like that."

Oh, Salazar.

Is Kala not good at potions? I have heard her grades were exceptional during her time so I thought it was alright to let myself get a little competitive.

Of course, she wouldn't be as good as I am for I was taught by Severus Snape.

Still, she's an Emrys. She should be exceedingly good at anything she put her mind into.

"Not that you're not a talented Potioneer. You've always had a knack for it." He says when he sees a no doubt panicked expression on my face. "But you were using some rather unorthodox ways earlier. Nothing I've ever seen before and barely even following the instructions."

I forced my heart to calm the way I would do when he used to call upon me as Kallista. "I suppose I have many hidden talents, Tom."

He didn't look concerned by this, nearly accepting it immediately. "Indeed. I want to see them all. Every last bit."

There it was again. His voice. The way he looks at me. It made my insides burn oh so pleasantly. It's like... I was a star in a starless night. Like he couldn't look away from me. "Can I ask you a question, Tom?"

He nods. "Go on,"

I wanted to know at which point he is in. Has he made a Horcrux already? Should I even know something like this? "Do you... spend time with the others?"

Amusement flashes through his eyes. "Are you trapping me into another question about other women again?"

I flushed, feeling hot suddenly. "No. I meant, Mucliber, Avery, Rosier—"
