Isaac sat with his axe in hand sharpening it as one of the butchers' sons came up. Along with him came one of the finest tailors' son as well.

Isaac smiled as he hopped off the back of his father's wagon. "Thank you for coming Flynn and Aron." Isaac thanked the two.

"You said it was important." Aron the son of the butcher.

Isaac nodded. "I was hoping both of you could answer this. Flynn your dad is one of the best tailors here, has he ever tailored anything for the prince?" Isaac asked setting his axe down as he walked over.

"I believe he tailored a jacket for him once. Is there something you are looking for?" Flynn asked and Isaac nodded.

"He had an interesting pair of trousers on. I'm simply curious on if anyone knows where he got them from. Aron, has there been any deer who have wandered into the village?" Isaac asked turning to Aron.

"No, not in a few years at least. Most of them stay outside. The last animal that wandered in were rabbits." Aron answered.

"Interesting." Isaac noted as he cast a glance over to where the prince and his parents lived. They didn't live in a castle, but they did live in a large grander building than everyone else. In it sat the self-appointed king and queen of their small village.

The title had been given to them since the first treaty with the wolves were made. Not that most humans from here learned about that much anymore.

The treaty between the wolves and humans were rarely taught.

"What exactly did he have on that caught your interest?" Flynn asked taking a step forward.

"His trousers looked like they were lined in fur, but I don't recall any tailors here having access to fur. I don't believe anyone has access to fur. Only wool and pelt from the animals." Isaac told them.

"I know my father said the prince tends to make his own clothing. His clothing has a patchwork that no other tailor has. It's a guess that he makes all of it at home and probably collects materials on his daily rides." Flynn told Isaac.

Isaac nodded. "Do you think he's going into the forest and hunting?" Aron asked as he cast a glance to the forest.

"That is a possibility. He could be getting brave and catching times that the wolves aren't active and hunting while they sleep. Although you'd think a man who wants to protect the village and warns people to not watch would follow the protocol of not entering the woods much less hunting in their lands." Isaac noted.

"Do you think it's possible to learn those beasts' patterns?" Flynn asked.

"If you study anything hard enough you learn how they operate. What do you suggest we do?" Aron asked.

Isaac bit his lip. "I'm not sure. Maybe we should plan a day and ride out to see exactly what is going on." Isaac suggested.

"Go into the woods?" Flynn asked.

"Have a better plan in mind Flynn?" Isaac asked and Flynn shook his head.

"Then it's settled. We make a day, and we take three horses out and see what exactly is going on in there. Be sure to bring weapons though. Unlike someone we don't know their patterns." Isaac told them before he went back over to his cart.

"I'll see you boys soon." Isaac responded before he rode off to let the day carry on.

Today was one of the days where Court had gone out with his brothers hunting. This left me alone at the cabin. He told me I was safe to come out and walk around a little, just not to leave the property.
