I had no idea what to expect out of being in a cabin full of men who can turn into wolves. I had no idea how to act or anything. The sheltering of my life resulted in a complete lack of socialization. The most I had done is hold a semi decent conversation with a hen.

Things like this aren't my specialty. I am out of my element here. So out of my element.

I did my best to just keep quiet. When I woke up Court was gone. I managed to stay on the opposite side of the bed than him. I was smushed into the wall keeping away from him.

When I woke up, he was no longer in bed. Which was a relief for me. I didn't have to face him in the morning.

I grabbed my cloak when I woke up. I wrapped it around before standing up. As I stood up the door opened, and I jumped back. A tall man walked through the door. He looked at me as he shut it.

"Court said to leave this for you when you woke up. He had to leave; he'll be back soon." The man came over and handed a plate over to me. I accepted it as he walked out leaving me standing there.

I sat down on the bed as I looked at the plate with pancakes placed on it. They were much thinner than the ones my mom made and had this weird layer of white on it along with some fruits in it. But I wasn't about to complain.

I picked up the fork and began eating it. The layer of white was soft and creamy with a sweet taste to it. I finished the pancakes up before setting the plate down and looking around the room.

There is one other door in the room besides the one that leads out. I got up off the bed, opened it, and entered.

Inside revealed a bathroom. Like the rest of the room it was made of wood. I was surprised to see that Court's room had his own bathroom. But he is a prince what else should I expect? My father had one bath that we all shared. The only time I had been thankful to be an only child was during that time.

Court's bathroom was much more sophisticated than mine had been. His bathtub was made of a pristine white stone with wood one the side. It connected outside to the cabin where the water would no doubt leave.

I shut the door and used the bathroom before exiting the bathroom. I assumed the man who came in is Xerxes. I pushed my hair behind my ear. He said Court would be back soon. I looked around the room in took in a deep breath.

The prince. The literal prince, the son of the king of the village is one of them. A wolf. I never thought in depth to what the wolves were. Like everyone else I just let them exist.

I had never even caught a glimpse of them nor hoped to. The wolves were to be feared. Yet here I am in a cabin full of them. A cabin full of the wolves who stalked and hunted these woods. Wolves capable of shapeshifting. The thought sent a shiver down my spine.

I took in a deep breath and looked out the window. I went quiet as I saw Court pull into view riding on a horse.

The horse was white with vibrant black spots splattered across his body. Court rode up to the front of the cabin before disappearing as I sat back down on the bed. He's back now.

I played with the ends of my cloak while listening as the doors opened.

"She's awake." I heard one of them say.

"Did you give her the crepes I made?" Court asked.

"Yes. I went in to give her them and she was awake. So, I assume she ate the crepes." Xerxes answered and the conversation ended as footsteps fell near the door.

The door opened and I looked up as Court walked in.

Court wore a black button up shirt with a forest green cloak over it buttoned up leaving only two buttons open. Then he had on black riding pants. Court smiled when he saw the empty plate.
