I was nervous to start my new job. Director Fury had heard that Tony Stark was looking for a new assistant to run things and he'd recommended me for the position. When I got the call to tell me I'd gotten the job, I couldn't believe my good luck. Working for Tony Stark and the Avengers was an incredible opportunity. I'd worked for Fury for a few years and while I'd never met any of them directly, I knew them all by name. I squared my shoulders and headed toward the entrance to Avengers tower.
Inside the tower, Tony, Steve and Nat were all hunched over the conference table in the main meeting room. They were reviewing renovation plans for the compound.
"I think we could use another training room and upgrades to the two we have. What about right here for the new training room?" Steve points to an area on the blue prints.
Tony looks at where Steve's pointing "Yea, I agree. I also think having capabilities to allow for simulation fights against other opponents. It'll work on team building skills."
Nat chuckles, "Did Tony Start just say he wants to do team building?" Nat and Steve look at each other and laughed.
Tony rolled his eyes. "Yea, whatever. Since, we're going to have to have some construction guys in here. I'll need someone to oversee everything but I'll be double checking their work and making sure that they are doing everything to spec."
Steve looks up at Tony, "I'm assuming you'll be doing sweeps and checking to make sure nothing's being planted to spy on us."
"Of course he is, and knowing Tony he has the whole life story of anyone who's going to be anywhere near this to make sure they've never been near Hydra." Nat leaned over to grab another file to look at it. Tony made an noise of agreement while distractedly looking at the papers in front of him.
"Good." Steve nodded, happy with Tony's response, even though it was distracted. He knew that Tony took their safety very seriously. "So who's going to be overseeing everything?"
Tony points to something on the plan that Nat just grabbed. "I like that, maybe we should do it in all of the training rooms." He pivoted back to Steve's question, "I'll be having our new admin do it. She comes highly recommended. Here she is now. Y/N come on in." Seeing you at the end of the hallway, he waves at you to enter the room.
"Tony, you're bringing someone new in?" Steve tenses and looks at you over his shoulder.
"Yea, get over it." Tony rolls his eyes again and smiles to greet you. "Y/N, hello."
"Hello Mr. Stark. How are you today?."
Tony pints to Steve and Nat, "Good. I'd like you to introduce you, this is Natasha Romanoff and Steve Rogers."
You greet them both with a smile, "Ms. Romanoff, Captain Rogers, it's nice to meet you both."
"It's nice to meet you Y/N. Please call me Nat." Nat smiles at you warmly.
"Thank you Nat! I'm glad to be helping out." You're happy she seems to like you. You know she's not someone who's bad side you want to get on.
Steve had been quiet and was staring at you intently. He looked you up and down giving you a silent assessment. "I'm Steve".
"It's nice to meet you Captain Rogers." You give him a nice smile trying to melt his icy exterior. Turning to Tony, "Mr. Stark, if you'll excuse me, I'll get settled in my office."
"Great. I'll be there shortly to review my schedule." He nods and smiles at you.
You leave the room excited to get started. You turn slightly as you leave looking over your shoulder and you see Steve staring at you. His expression is unreadable.
