Part 36

**Occurs immediately after Wanda and Steve leave Erin's Room**

Steve softly closes the door and stares at it for a moment before sighing and shaking his head. "Did you pick anything up from her?"

Wanda nodded, "Yea. She's scared and upset. I think she's a little numb right now. I think saying she's had a rough time is an understatement. But if you mean anything that could be concerning, no. Everything she's told us is genuine. I don't believe she's hiding anything from us or has negative intentions."

Steve sighs, "Good. I wish you had been around when Y/N first started, it would have made me not such a crazy person."

Wanda chuckles, "Yea. It's a good thing that you didn't fight your feelings for Nat the way you did with Y/N. She'd have ruined you."

Steve's face slakens, "Um... my feelings... no. No, I don't have feelings for Nat. She's just a friend."

Wanda taps the side of Steve's head as she laughs at him. "You project your thoughts so loud anytime she's around that I can't stop them from entering my head. You practically scream it. But don't worry," she makes a zipper movement over her lips, "my lips are sealed." Winking and grinning at him, Wanda steps into her room.

Steve bites his lip watching her walk away, wondering if she'll keep her promise not to tell. "You don't have to shout! Of course I will. Now go shower, you stink." Shutting her door after her parting shot.

Twenty minutes later, Steve is showered and changed. Still too restless for bed he decides to sit on the balcony and relax. Leaving his room he hears crying coming from Erin's room. Hesitating slightly before knocking to check on her.
