**With Y/N**

Trigger warning - torture

You slowly come awake, your head hurts and your thoughts feel fuzzy. You're having trouble focusing but you realize something is very wrong when you hear voices that you don't recognize behind you.

"She should be awake by now. Did you give her too much?"

Another voice sighed in frustration and annoyance. "I used the syringe that you filled and gave to me. If it was too much, you're the one that overdid it!"

The events that brought you here quickly flood back to you. You don't want to move because you don't want them to know you're awake. You stay quiet and still until you hear them move away. You slowly open your eyes and see that you're strapped to a table. You can't move your arms or legs. You start to panic because you realize you can't get up. A voice from behind your head chuckles

"Well, it's nice of you to finally join us. We'll be able to start now."

I turn my head toward the voice that sounds vaguely familiar but I can't place it. You can't turn that far enough to see them. "Start what?"

The man chuckles, "Just some tests. We need to know the extent of your regenerative abilities and if it's something we can replicate."

"I don't have any abilities."

His voice is tugging at old memories as he speaks. "Oh but that dear girl is where you're wrong. We may even find out if you have other abilities. We were very disappointed that your sister didn't have this ability."

You're shocked. "My sister? Erin's dead?"

The man gave a humorless laugh. "Jamie's dead too, but here you are."

He finally comes around to look at you. He's older but he's the man that haunts your nightmares. Your blood runs cold and you start to struggle against the ties trying to get away.

He grins down at you "Ahh, I see you remember me. I wondered if you would. We'll have time to catch up later, dearest daughter. Right now, I want to see what you can do."

His words confirmed your fears. The man standing in front of you is your father. The Monster that haunts your nightmares. You continue to struggle against your bindings. "No! No, I can't do anything. I don't have any powers! Please, please believe me!"

His face gets serious and he turns toward a cart with supplies on it. Turning back to you he smirks at you, "Yes you do. We're going to start with taking some blood samples and then we'll move on." He grabbed your restrained arm holding it in a bruising gripe while he stuck you with multiple needles, taking vials of blood from you. After taking your blood he grins and holds up a needle, now lets see how we can help you with your gift. He injects the fluid into you. Fire swims through your veins. When he finished giving you the shot, he gave you the creepy smile you remember from childhood and motioned to the door. "Now we're going to have real fun."

Multiple guards walked in and unbuckled you. They roughly pulled you off the table and tied you up to a chair. The guards and your father proceeded to punch, kick and hit you. Your screams bounced off the wall as the pain increased. They only stopped when you lost consciousness.

"Lay her on the table. I need x-rays to see the extent of the damage."

A second man moved toward the table, "Charles, was beating her unconscious really necessary?"

Charles looked down at his daughter's unconscious form and smiled coldly. "No, Brock it wasn't but I have years to make up for. That girl cost me everything and she will not get away with it."

Brock chuckled "Don't you mean Fury cost you everything?"

Charles waved his hand, trying to swat the other man's words away. "Doesn't matter. It'll hurt him knowing what I did to her. It'll hurt them both. Plus it'll show us how fast and to what extent she can heal."

When the x-rays were done, he started to examine them. Calling out to Brock, "Take her to a cell."

Brock picks her up moving as quickly and carefully as he can. He walks swiftly down the hallway hoping to not meet any other guards. He balances her unconscious form as he opens the heavy metal door and moves into a cell. He motions for the other occupant to be quiet.

Brock kept his voice quiet but firm, "Erin. Keep her close. I have a feeling her friends are going to be coming soon. She's your ticket out of here."

She girl nods and quietly inquires, "Will you come too?"

He chuckles, "I can't. Just get out of here. You're great but what we have isn't love Erin. You run and don't look back."

Erin looks down. After years of being beaten down, she believes that it's her. She's not good enough for someone to love. "Oh, ok."

He sighs, "Erin, I'm serious. Your mom is out there and I know she loves you! When you get the chance, run and don't look back. EVER!" He looks behind him realizing he'd raised his voice. He has to go, he knows he'll raise suspicion if he stays too much longer. He looks at Erin, who's now kneeling next to Y/N one last time before he walks away hating the hand life dealt him.

Erin just sits next to you. Every now and then she reaches out to sooth you by stroking your hair. You start to wake up and jump back trying to get away from her. You don't know where you are again and remember the beating occurring as you lost consciousness.

Erin smiles at you and speaks softly in a soothing voice. "You're ok. I'm not going to hurt you. I'm Erin. They put you in my cell." Tentatively, she asks "You look familiar, like I should know you, but I can't place you. What's your name?"
