Part 29

**Back with the avengers**

Everyone is back in the meeting room suited up. Tony pulls up all of the footage on a large screen. "Ok, the drone shows that they've landed about 30 minutes ago. I've got the video showing them landing."

Tony plays the video. The team sees the chopper land and a man gets out. He turns back, pulls you out and carries you into a building. The drone feed switches to heat signature. They see you brought through the building and strapped to a table. There are men standing near you and appear to be talking. Tony pauses the video.

"Ok. The rest is tough to watch." He looks sympathetically at Maggie. "I don't know if you want to see this."

Maggie sighs and shudders slightly, before nodding. "It's ok. It'll be worse if I don't know and my imagination runs wild."

Tony nods and restarts the video. They all watch as one of them men lean over you doing something. They watch your colored shadow thrash against the table before more heat signatures enter the area. They watch horrified as they see you being moved to another area of the room and watch as your restrained form is beaten by multiple people. As the horror unfolds in front of them, Maggie gasps and moves closer to the video screen. At her gasp Tony pauses the video. Maggie turns to Fury.

Maggie's voice trembles and points to one of the signatures, "Nick, that's him."

Fury furrows his brow, "Maggie are you sure? All you can see is the heat signature."

Maggie turns back to the video anger coloring her features, "Nick, I was on the receiving end of that enough to know it's him."

Tony starts the video again. Bucky walks over next to Maggie as they all watch you slump forward and to the side. Your body doesn't move again and it's clear that you're unconscious. . Maggie gasps and covers her mouth. Bucky puts his hand on her shoulder.

Bucky's barely containing his anger. "Who is he?"

Maggie sighed out a ragged breath, tears threatening again. "His name is Charles. He's Y/N and Erin's biological father."

Bucky gives a humorless chuckle. "Shit, how's she going to react when I tell her that I killed her biological dad? Cause after what I saw, he's not walking out of that building alive."

Fury snorted and stepped up next to Maggie and Bucky, "She won't have to feel anything about you doing it. That bastard is mine."

Steve looks over at Fury, surprised, " Fury, you're coming with us."

Fury doesn't take his eyes off the screen. "Damn right. Tony, can this building go on full lockdown? I want Maggie to stay here, but I-"

Bruce steps forward, "I'm staying here. I'll make sure she's safe."

Bucky looks around at everyone before testing his arm by circling it 360- degrees. "That's settled. Now let's go. I'm done waiting."

Bucky gives Maggie a quick side hug and then storms out of the room. Everyone follows him and they board the quinjet. During the ride they finalize their attack plan to breach the compound. Wanda sits next to Nat and keeps flinching. Nat looks over at her, knowing Wanda wouldn't want the others to know if something was wrong, she quietly asks, "You ok?"

Wanda gives her a small smile, more like a grimace and she nods toward Bucky and Fury who are both stony faced, "They are so mad. Their thoughts are very loud and...um... violent."

Nat nods, "Ah, yea I can't even imagine what tortures their thinking up for Y/N's dad." She puts her arm around Wanda, "I'm sorry."

Wanda sighs, "It's ok. It's giving me good practice of protecting myself from the thoughts of others."

Nat chuckled, "You are amazing! You always look at the bright side."

Tony calls out, "Ok, we're landing. Any further and we'll be within their sensor range."

The Quinjet back door opens. Steve looks at each person. "Ok, you all know what to do. Let's get our girls!"

The team needed no further encouragement and they all stepped out to their assigned tasks.
