**Tony and Steve**

Steve strides in the kitchen relieved to find Tony alone, knowing this conversation might be uncomfortable. Leaning against the table, he catches Tony's attention. "Hey Tony, got a minute?"

Tony gives him an exasperated side eye while stirring his coffee. "Maybe, what's up?"

Rubbing the back of his neck, embarrassed by the topic relating to his best friend. "We need to do something about sound proofing the bedrooms."

Tony gives a soft snort and rolls his eyes "Oh, you mean the Barnes show this morning?" Tony's sarcasm makes Steve chuckle.

"Yea. It frightened Erin and caused her to freak out when she woke up. The noise really got to her."

Tony's hand stops stirring and he slowly looks up, giving Steve his full attention. "How do you know it caused her to panic when she woke up?"

"Ah Tony..." Steve waives his hand dismissively. "Nothing like that. She was crying last night. I was comforting her and we both fell asleep."
Tony forcefully points his spoon at Steve, flicking some droplets at him. "Rogers...."

"Tony, you know me! I don't mess around. She needed a friend and I'm being that friend." Steve sighs in annoyance.

Tony slaps his hand on the counter. "I do know you but I also distinctly remember you getting your ass beaten because you messed around."

Steve rolls his eyes, "Ah geez, that was a one time slip. Are you going to soundproof the rooms or not?"

Tony sighs, "I'm starting to rethink this living together stuff. You guys are going to give me higher blood pressure. I'll have Y/N get the contractor on it right away."

Steve chuckles and thunks him on the back as he leaves. "Thanks Tony. I'm glad you're having that conversation and not me."

Steve sees Erin waiting by the door and jogs over, giving her a smirk. "Aright, let's see how fast you are."
