Part 27

*Back with the Avengers.*

Tony throws a file on the table annoyed. "Friday status on tracking the aircraft."

"There were three commercial flights that were confirmed to have landed at their intended destinations. I am also tracking a helicopter that is flying south, southwest from here. I deployed the drone to follow them. The drone should be in range to see them shortly. Would you like me to alert you when they are within sight of the drone? "

Tony sighs, "Good. I want you to keep me updated at five minute intervals.:

"Yes, Mr. Stark."

Steve rubs his hand over his forehead. "Ok, I'm not seeing any reference to Erin ever being moved outside the US. Has anyone else found anything or does it all look like it's based here."

Wanda shakes her head. "I've only seen mentions of two different compounds, one in New Jersey and the other on the west coast, somewhere in Washington."

Nat nods in agreement, "Same here."

Sam points at a sheet of paper and pushes it to the middle of the table. "The last note I have is about Erin being in New Jersey. I don't see anything about being out of the country ever."

Steve sits back and starts thinking out loud. "Ok. So, if Erin's in New Jersey. There is a chance that whoever took Y/N, will take her to the same facility. They wouldn't have more than one of these types of compounds in the same general area."

Tony smiles looking down at his phone before throwing a projection into the middle of the room. "Good point. Also, the helicopter Friday's tracking is heading toward rural New Jersey. We may be in luck. Everyone go, suit up. Meet back here in 15 minutes. We won't head out until we know where they landed."

Fury has been silent throughout the entire process. He watches everyone leave to get ready. Steve is the last to leave the room. Steve turns back to Fury. "Don't worry Fury, we're getting them back." Fury nods but doesn't say anything, still deep in thought. 

**In the lab with Bruce, Bucky and Maggie.*

Bruce has Bucky hooked up with multiple electrodes and is quickly checking the results. When Steve walks in.

Steve smiles at Maggie and then looks at Bruce. "How is he, Bruce?"

Bruce gives Steve a small smile, "So far, all normal. I have one last test that's finishing up now. The only thing I can see now is that he'll likely need rest and give his body some time to heal."

Bucky grunts, "Bruce, if I'm not dying, I'm going. I can rest when Y/N is back."

Bruce rubs his head and grimaces, "Bucky, I-"

Bucky holds up his hand and glares at Bruce, cutting him off. "Bruce, don't finish that sentence. I'm going." Bucky pulls the electrodes off and walks out to suit up.

Steve looks at the ground and sighs before he turns to leave. Maggie had been sitting next to the door quietly watching the whole interaction. She stands as Steve approaches. He smiles at her.

Maggie places her hand on his arm, "Steve, did you find them?"

He nods "We're pretty sure."

Maggie closes her eyes against the tears she's been holding in. "Please, please bring them home to me. I lived through thinking I lost Erin once and I don't think I can live through that again."

Steve pulls Maggie into a hug. "It'll be ok. We're getting your girls. Let's get you back to Fury." Maggie nods and walks out ahead of him. Steve watches her leave and then turns back to Bruce. "Bruce, make sure medical is ready. I don't know what shape the girls will be in when they get here." Bruce nods, "Of course Cap."

Assured that everything will be ready when they get back, Steve leaves to follow Maggie and get her back to Fury.
