"I don't know I feel like we should tell them. They're not judgemental." Sokka reasoned.
"That's not... Not what I'm worried about," Zuko sighed. "I just don't trust them yet. I don't know them that well, and I don't know who they know, or how good they are at keeping secrets."
"Okay, okay," Sokka patted his shoulder soothingly. "We won't say anything. It's ok."
"Thanks... Maybe in a little while. Then I'll see."
Sokka gave him a little nod and smile before leaning in to kiss the side of his head. Zuko looked at him, a little surprised but then his expression turned soft.
Quirking his eyebrow, a tiny smirk edged it's way onto his face and he pulled Sokka in by the collar of his shirt to kiss him on the lips. Short and Sweet.
"Hmm," Sokka hummed, placing a hand on Zuko's waist. "I seem to remember something about taking you out for dinner?"
"I might remember saying something along those lines." Zuko smirked.
"What do you feel like?"
"Something spicy..."
"Okay, that makes me think of two options. Either a really good ramen place, or a really good steakhouse."
"Oh, ramen for sure." Zuko nodded.
"Ramen it is."

Welcomed by the smell of broth and tea, both boys relaxed at the atmosphere. It slightly reminded Zuko of his Uncle, and Sokka of meat. They were told to wait for a few minutes since they were still cleaning up a table, so the couple played rock paper scissors while they waited. Zuko won most of the matches.
"I think I'm going to get the hot and spicy beef..." Zuko stated, reading over the menu.
"That one's really spicy. Toph had it last time and she had to drink like, 3 glasses of milk." Sokka chuckled.
"That spicy huh?" Zuko grinned. "I'll give it a try."
"Alright, it's your funeral." Sokka shrugged folding his menu.
"What are you getting?"
"Just the regular beef kind. Extra noodles."
Zuko nodded softly, leaning into his hand. Just as they had striked up another conversation, a waitress arrived at their table.
"Are you ready to order? I'll start you up with some drinks." She smiled at them.
"I think we're ready to order food actually, please," Sokka looked up at her and froze. "Oh!"
"Oh, hi Sokka." Suki's smile turned slightly awkward.
"Hey, Suki. How are you?"
Zuko pursed his lips. Watching the exchange between the two, he got a good look at Suki. She was pretty, short brown hair. Nice eyes.
"I'm doing well, how have you been? How's Katara, Aang and Toph?"
"We're all doing great. Thanks." Sokka smiled at her again but it didn't quite reach his eyes.
Suki looked over at Zuko, seeming to take note of his scar before extending her hand to shake.
"Hi, sorry. I'm Suki. I don't think we've met?"
"No, I'm Lee. Sokka's boyfriend. Nice to meet you." He grinned a little cheekily.
"Oh?" She looked to Sokka.
"My soulmate." Sokka added, smiling at Zuko.
"Awe that's great! I'm so happy for you!" Suki beamed. "Anyways, what can I get you guys?"
"I'll have the Jasmine Tea and the hot and spicy beef please." Zuko said.
"And I'll have an apple juice and the beef bowl please." Sokka added.
"Alright! I'll be back with your drinks in a minute."
"Apple juice?" Zuko queried, amused.
"What? It tastes good," Sokka shot back with a grin. "Besides are we really going to overlook what you told her?"
"That I'm your boyfriend?" Zuko clarified, earning a nod. "Well it's true isn't it?"
"We never really made it official but I guess so," Sokka shrugged, leaning back in his seat. "I guess we're boyfriends."
"Guess we are." Zuko chuckled.

After dinner, Sokka was still going on about how Zuko had absolutely no reaction to the spicy ramen and also how he added more hot sauce into the bowl. Zuko, who was just enjoying the overdramatic boy beside him, was laughing along the way.
Sokka had taken Zuko down to a small pond near his house as the sun started to set. They stopped to watch the sunset and waited for it to get dark.
"So, what are you showing me?" Zuko asked softly, turned to Sokka.
"You'll see in just a sec." Sokka grinned, making his way over to a patch of tall grasses at the side of the path.
He grazed his hand through the plants and a flurry of blinking yellow lights floated into the air.
"Woah!" Zuko uttered, in awe of the little lights floating around him. "I've never seen fireflies in real life."
"You don't get out much, do you?"
"No. Not at all."
_
"Did you have a good time?" Toph asked.
Zuko had gone upstairs to get ready for bed while Sokka had gone to get a small snack from the kitchen. Toph had walked in a few minutes later.
"Yeah, we got ramen and Z-Lee got the hot and spicy beef." Sokka nodded as he grabbed the box of granola bars.
"Oh? Did he die?"
"What? No. He was actually perfectly fine. He even added more hot sauce."
"So then," Toph chuckled. "Do you feel like you're dying?"
"Why would I be?"
"Well he's your soulmate isn't he? So don't you taste everything he tastes?"
"That's... No," Sokka started laughing. "That's not how it works."
He was still laughing when Zuko walked into the kitchen to see where his boyfriend was and also what was with the ruckus. Toph was laughing as well at that point.
"What's so funny?" Zuko asked, walking over to stand beside Sokka.
"Oh, just Toph being Toph."
"I see." Zuko smiled, wrapping his arm around Sokka's waist.
"Want a granola bar?" Sokka asked before taking a bite out of his.
"No thanks, I just brushed my teeth."
"I'll have one." Toph piped up.
"Chocolate chip or caramel?"
"Caramel."
Sokka handed her a granola bar and then finished up his own. He turned to Zuko, raising his eyebrows like he was going to say something once he'd finished chewing. But Zuko's thumb swiping the edge of his mouth visibly shattered whatever was going on in his brain.
"You... Have some chocolate on your face." He mumbled.
Sokka gulped, watching as Zuko glanced back up at him through his eyelashes. A small smirk edged his lips and he licked his thumb.
"Uh..," Sokka uttered softly, his face flushing. "Bed time?"
