Draco Malfoy

-

Do we really hate people as much as we say we do?

-

I opened the classroom door that was practically slammed in my face, watching as Cora was just turning the corner, rushing to get away.

This wasn't good.

I don't know what game Snape thinks he's playing, but us studying together is not going to end well, for obvious reasons. Now I have to either find a way out of it, find a way to keep it from my father, or make Claire stop the sessions.

I strolled the corridors for a while, deciding to go to the library to kill a few hours before dinner.

"Hey, you." I felt a hand slide across my shoulders, looking over at Astoria taking a seat next to me.

"Hi-" Before I could finish her lips smashed against mine. I hesitate, but find myself almost instantly kissing her back, my hand lifting up and entangling in her hair to push her closer.

I don't like kissing her. Her lips aren't as soft as Coras were. Astoria used her tongue in all of the wrong ways. But if it can make Cora hate me more then so be it.

"Hey, c'mon. I don't want to see that." I pull away with a sigh, looking forward to Blaise who was slamming his books down. I roll my eyes as he sits down, mumbling "Piss off."

Astoria cupped my cheek and pulled me back to her lips, opening her mouth to invite my tongue. "Really? Are you two a thing now or something?" "Blaise lectured.

"For Merlin's sake, Blaise. Let the two kids have their fun." I heard Theo, though I couldn't focus on much at the moment besides Astoria and her scent. Her scent is very strong vanilla, very sweet. I don't know if it's her perfume or her shampoo, but everything about her is vanilla. Cora on the other hand, smells bittersweet. Like bittersweet berries. She smells clean, refreshing. Much more tolerable.

After a few minutes she pulled away, giving me one last peck before pulling out her work to start studying. "I'm gonna fail Potions, I swear." Astoria huffed. She stopped writing and turned to me. "Do you wanna study sometime?"

That's one thing I didn't like about Astoria. She got attached way too easily. I don't like her that much. She is just there to make time pass by faster. It was more of a friends with benefits relationship, but now she's all over me all the time.

It's only been about a week, and I already want to end things. I probably will soon. I knew the next thing I said would piss her off or make her upset. "Snape told me earlier that I had to help Bentley fix her essay and study with her." I said.

"Bentley...Cora Bentley?" Theo asked. I groaned. "Yes, Nott. Cora Bentley. Who else?"

"Are you going to do it?" Blaise chimed in. "I have to. I tried to think of a way out of it but I don't know how."

Astoria cursed under her breath, probably louder than she expected. "What's up with you?" Blaise motioned to her.

She looked up from her parchment and shrugged. "Nothing. I'm gonna-- uh, go to dinner." She abruptly got up and packed her things before storming out of the library. "Dinner doesn't start for another 20 minutes?" Blaise chuckled under his breath.

"I don't know Malfoy, but good luck with whatever is going on between you two." Theo laughed. "There's really nothing going on. It just sort of happened. I'm ending it soon." I said. Blaise and Theo exchanged a quick glance, so fast I could barely notice it before they continued working.
