Cora Bentley

On a scale of 1-10, how bad do you think drugs could destroy you?

Giggling. Blurry vision. Hogwarts corridors.

I was found by a professor in the tower, yelling at me to go to class, and I don't even remember who it was.

I stumbled down an abandoned corridor, not risking anyone seeing me. I couldn't control my giggles and laughs. I can't even hold a single thought in my head for longer than a second, making me laugh even more.

It's around lunch time right now, and I had smoked all three joints. I was on my way to my dorm now, to take a good nap and be isolated for a while.

I floated into a busier hallway, trying to stand as straight as possible. I made eye contact with no one, keeping my eyes on the ground. I didn't need anyone seeing my red eyes. I passed the ravenclaw common room, almost able to pass by while going unnoticed. I looked up, seeing....him, walking out.

Why the fuck was he in the Ravenclaw common room?

Once again, the thought dissolved into nothing but a bundle of blurry images. I continued on my path, effectively trotting down the stairs to the common room, where there were mostly younger years studying for their classes. I went up to the girls' dorms, unlocking my dorm with a special charm, and relocking it, shutting out all of the lights and flopping onto my bed, allowing the darkness to consume me.

Draco Malfoy

I walked into the Ravenclaw common room. It was so much more bright and inviting than the slytherin common room. Some girl came up to me, probably trying to leave since I was next to the door.

"Excuse me. You're blocking the exit." She smiled up at me. I looked down at her short figure. She couldn't have been higher than 2nd year. "Do you know where Adam Monroe is?" I asked.

"Um, I'm not sure. His friend is over there on the couch, by the window." She pointed toward one of the windows in the corner of the room, where a boy was reading from a textbook, his glasses falling from his nose.

I nodded and moved from the door, heading toward the boy. "Hey." He shyly looked up, "Hi." He mumbled, pushing his glasses back onto his nose.

"Where is your friend, Adam?" I bluntly asked.

"He's in Transfiguration class right now. I- I could show you—"

"—No need." I whisked out of the common room, not looking to anyone as I went toward the Transfiguration classroom.

Class was just ending when I arrived, and I saw him leaving the classroom with a sigh, taking his hands through his hair. I recognized him because of all of the descriptions Pansy gave us when we asked where she got her drugs from.

Granted, we almost never remember who it is, because we're always high off our asses when we ask.

I reached him, tapping him on the shoulder. He wasn't a very broad looking guy, definitely not one who should be selling drugs. I wouldn't  be surprised if he got scammed or even beating up for them before. He was two or three inches shorter than I was.

"Hey Monroe. We need to talk."

He already seemed to cower under my glare. This was the guy Pansy keeps going on about? "Wh- what is it? Did I do something?"

I shook my head. "No. But do you know who Cora Bentley is?" He hesitantly nodded. I got real close to his ear. "If she comes to you for drugs, and I find out you've given her any, you might as well be a dead man. Got it?" He immediately said yes, and I backed away from his timid figure, and strided the other way, going to see if Pansy had found her yet.

She was sitting in the common room, legs over the side of the sofa. "Hello?" I asked, in the most sarcastic tone.

She groaned, throwing her head back. "She's sleeping. In her dorm."

"Did you take your stash back? If you didn't why are you still sitting here?" I approached her and threw her legs off of the side of the couch.

She struggled, but stood up, leaving all of her stuff and going toward the girls dorms. She came back almost twenty minutes later.

"I cant find it." She mumbled, almost looking afraid of what my answer would be. She should be.

"What the fuck do you mean you couldn't find it?!" I snapped. She sighed, "I'll go look again." She slumped back up the hallway, while I went back to my own dorm to owl my mother. I realized that it's been a few weeks since I've spoken to her.

Picking up a fresh piece of parchment and a quill, I quickly dipped it into the ink then started writing.

Dear Mum,

I hope you are doing well. My studies have been going okay, I have been getting good scores like I promised. Theo and Blaise are doing well also.

I cant wait to see you again. Also, send back some of your caramel sweets, for Cora. You know how much she loves them.

I think that's it for now. I love you.

Draco

I sealed it quickly and gave it to my owl, sending her off swiftly as soon as I heard a knock on my door.

"Listen, I don't know what you want me to do, Draco. I cant find it." Pansy shrugged in the doorframe, then walked off as if nothing happened.

Bitch.
