Was he really the right person?

I closed my eyes and focused all of my energy in my wand. "Harmonia Nectere Passus." I chanted for what felt like the millionth time toward the big wooden cabinet in front of me.
When nothing happened, I sighed and turned around, only to be met with Draco, standing at the clearing of all of the mess that is this room.
We haven't spoken in over a month, close to two. Not after shit blew up with Theo and him.
After the first Slytherin party of the year, Theo and Draco had gotten into a huge fight about me. I haven't been speaking to Theo either. It's been very awkward between our group.
Apparently after I had left Theo in my dorm, he left and went back down to the party, only to be dragged back out by Draco, who completely beat the shit out of him.
They both ended up with broken noses; Draco with a dislocated shoulder, and Theo with a tooth missing, which were both magically repaired by Pomfrey that same night.
Pansy had told me about almost every detail of the fight. Her only complaint was that she wished she could've filmed it.
Since then, none of us have really spoken. Draco and I come here separately, working on the cabinet at different times.
I've been putting all of my energy and time into coming here, and sometimes on classes, not really conversing with anyone, just myself. I feel I might be going crazy.
"What are you doing here?" Was the first thing Draco asked.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" I replied sarcastically.
He rolled his eyes, plopping down onto the couch. "I have an idea."
I motioned that I was listening, and leaned back into the table full of Dark magic books we've been looking through, opposite of the couch.
"We should use the opal necklace. Think about it. It's cursed. We give it to Dumbledore somehow, he touches it, boom. Dead." He explained.
I considered it, crossing my arms over my chest. We could use the cursed opal necklace that was stashed away in my belongings. That's what we bought it for in the first place; incase we couldn't fix this damn cabinet.
"How would we get it to him?"
Draco shrugged.
A few minutes went by in silence, both of us thinking. Suddenly, it was like a lightbulb went on in Draco's head. He snapped his fingers, "We could tell one of our friends to put it in his office!"
I stood there in silence for a second, hoping to Merlin he was joking. When I actually realized he wasn't, I uncrossed my arms and scoffed."Of course, Draco! Why didn't I think of that? It's not like that would raise a shit ton of suspicions on us! Totally! No suspicious activity going on here. No sir—!"
"—Well then you come up with a better idea!" He shot up from the couch.
I huffed, letting my arms fall to my sides. I was quickly coming to the conclusion that we only had one option if we were to use that necklace. "Wecouldcursesomeone." I mumbled under my breath quickly, scratching the back of my neck and looking down.
