It's funny how we think we are so strong and powerful.

Though when it comes to certain people, we can crumble and melt into nothing.

'I'm glad you're feeling better." Theo said as I entered the common room later that night.

I sat down on one of the couches next to Astoria, leaning my head onto her shoulder. I noticed that Draco was in front of me, already looking at me. I gave a quick glance, then turned my head away.

"I have a question for everyone." Blaise said.
We all turned our attention towards him. "Do we believe all of the 'You-Know-Who is back' stuff?"

We all hesitated. "I think that he's back. Potter
seems to be acting more on edge than he normally is. Their whole crew is." Theo said.
I noticed that about Potter.

"I agree." Pansy chimed in. Astoria nodded as well.

"What about you two?" Blaise motioned between Draco and I.

I avoided eye contact. "Uh, I mean yeah, I guess." I mumbled quietly. My parents were very close with The Dark Lord. As are Draco's parents.

My last visit with them they did in fact conclude that he is back. Then they were off and they left the whole summer for me to be on edge about what they were doing for him. Their tasks when he was gone were mostly harmless. Now that he's back, where in the world could be sending them to do stuff?

And what stuff could they be doing? Am I going to get a letter one day saying that my parents are in azkaban? Or dead?

Obviously Draco knew he was back too.
Narcissa and Lucius talked about it all summer. Of course, Draco and I couldn't talk about it together because he avoided me at all costs. Though I did see him around the manor. His face was cold, tired. Though when we got back to school, his whole demeanor had changed and he became exactly how he was last year. It has to be exhausting.

"Malfoy?" I heard.

"Not sure." He stated, a bit of uneasiness in his voice.

I looked at him the second I felt his eyes on me. My breath hitched, not in a good way. His eyes pierced through mine as if daggers were being shot into me. We both knew what each other were thinking.

Don't say another word about it.

"Well, it's about time for dinner. Is everyone ready to go eat?" Astoria asked beside me.

We all strolled to the Great hall, everyone making small conversations.

As everyone sat down and got food, I decided to think about how I was going to go about annoying Draco.

I waited until we were all settled down and eating. "What's your guy's favorite memory from past school years?"

"Definitely the parties." Pansy said.

They all went on and answered, all except Draco. "What about you, Draco?" I asked him, full of sarcasm, tilting my head.

He smirked, swallowing his food, making his adam's apple bob in this throat. "Probably when you fell down the stairs in third year."
