Cora Bentley

-

Sometimes we can be blinded by the feelings in our heart,

rather then listening to the thoughts in our head.

-

"Cora!"

I panicked, looking over to Pansy, who's eyes were widened as well. I linked arms with her, sprinting down the corridor, avoiding all of the stares we were getting. As soon as we turned the corner, I pulled Pansy into the nearest door I saw, which ended up being a broom closet.

It was pitch black, the only sounds we heard were distant voices and our heavy breathing.

"Fuck." I said, exhaling, finally catching my breath.

I opened the door slowly, to see that the hallways were mostly empty, meaning everyone must be heading to breakfast.

We walked into the Great hall. I didn't try to look for Luke, I just sat down and started grabbing a light breakfast so I could go back to my dorm.

I'm not ready for Umbridge's class today. She's too cheery for my liking." Pansy said beside me, shivering with disgust.

Confused on who that was, I blurted out my question. "Who's Umbridge?"

"Are you stupid, Cora?" Draco laughed beside me, causing his friends who were sitting next to him to start laughing like his little puppets.

I didn't even notice him sitting in front of me. My heart immediately realized that he wasn't going to stop acting like this. It was like he wanted to break my heart, shatter it if he could, when he was around other people. But as soon as we were alone, he was his old self. It makes me wonder why he ever talked to me in school in the past years if he was embarrassed to be associated with me.

Whatever.

"No, Draco. I'm not stupid." I mustered up the courage to say, staring at him directly in the eye.

"Then who's Umbridge?" He taunted me.

I rolled my eyes, ignoring him and continued eating.

"Exactly, Bentley." He said, sounding satisfied.

"Whatever, ferret boy." I smirked as I saw his expression turn angrier.

"Fuck you." He said under his breath, then shoved his plate forward and stood up, walking out of the Great hall.

-

I walked into the D.A.D.A. classroom to a bunch of ruckus. All the students were conversing, laughing, walking all around.

I found a seat in the back of the room, playing with my wand, little blue sparkles leaving the end of it in circles.

I heard books slam down next to me, making me jump.

"I'm so not ready for this class." Pansy muttered.

"Same."

We made small conversation, mostly about what we're looking forward to for this year. We hadn't even noticed that the class had fell silent.

"Miss...Bentley." I heard my name being called.

I looked up to the professor. My smile quickly faded. I studied her god-awful pink outfit that In sure could make me go blind from how bright and colorful it was. Gross.
