We were in the forest.
"K-Ky.. where are we?" My head hurt.
"It's okay, it's okay. I healed your head, It will be okay." she smiled, and I noticed the light green light in her hazel eyes. It was swirling around us. I sat up, looking at my surroundings. Féliz was still a tiger. Ky was magical. Doug was dead. My mother was also dead. My life was just great right now.
"I am so sorry I didn't tell you before. I-"
"No, its okay.. It's.." I spaced out, trying to wonder what to say.
"My friends are coming, the 'different' ones." she held her necklace that I never noticed before. It had the same swirly green glow.
"Are they... Magic, too?"
"Yes. They're different, but you'll like them... I hope. I know they'll like you. They can tell you're magic too." She smiled.
"Magic? Oh, no, I'm nothing special."
"Then why are your eyes purple? You are special, Vivian. I know it." she smiled and rubbed my shoulder, comfortingly. Then, she glaced at the forest behind me. "Oh! Hey guys, didn't know you'd be here so fast." She got up to greet them.
"Hey Ky, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this is, the all wonderful, Vivian?" the boy brushed his brunette hair out of his face. He had the most brilliant sky blue eyes with a golden flare around the pupil.. they were hypnotizing.
"Dude, don't use your power on her yet!" A girl came from behind him, her cornrow-style braided hair fell behind her shoulder.
"Hehe, yeah, sorry." He smiled and swept his bangs back onto his face. I snapped out of the dreamstate.
"Sorry, Cody doesn't know how to control himself around pretty girls." the girl helped me up. "I'm LeAnne. I take it you're Vivian?"
I cleared my throat. "Uhh, yeah. You can call me Viv."
"Well hello Viv." He outstretched his hand in a manner in which I thought was a handshake. Boy was I wrong. He pulled my hand to his mouth. "I did not realize Ky knew such a devine girl. I would have dressed nicer." He then kissed the back of my hand, like I was a princess. I blushed.
Ky was pink with frustration. "Don't be such a flirt with my friend!! And we're not here for pleasure, there are a few things we need to discuss." She quickly changed the topic.
Cody let go of my hand as he sat upon a boulder. "Okay, Mrs. Leader, what do we need to talk about?"
"Where to start?? I mean... a lot happened... Today has been a... rough day. Some things happened and..." She spaced out, not knowing what to say, tears forming in her hazel eyes.
"It's okay Ky, I can explain." She nodded in response, grateful. "We were just hanging out when, my step father came. He escaped jail and..." I went on to explain today's story, leaving out the part when Ky told me that she... liked me... "...and then Féliz bit his head off."
The tiger was sleeping soundly next to Ky.
"Whoah, that's pretty awesome- I MEAN, shoot!! I am so so sorry for your loss, I-" LeAnne tried to explain, she was having a hard time. "The head-biting was cool, not the..."
"No, no, it's okay. I went through this when I lost my father... I know how to deal with this pain with losing my mother. I hated Doug any way." I shrugged it off, knowing I should care more about the mother who left me behind.
We sat, in silence until Ky spoke up.
"You guys, I think we should see what power she has. Look at her eyes, she has to have some power." Ky pointed out.
