CHAPTER 28 - Side-Story

CHAPTER 28

GUANG CHU BEI grew up listening to whatever her mother told her. She gained her father's favor like what her mother wants but her mother is still not satisfied with that.

Bei Ru, Guang Chu Bei's mother wanted to rule over the country and gain a lot of connections through her.

Guang Chu Bei is like her mother's puppet that needs to do what her master wants.

On her 14th birthday, she wanted a hug from her mother but she received a cold glare instead. Crying alone in the garden, she saw the 10 year old Guang Ai Li laughing together with Empress Guang Lui Meng.

Seeing a happy mother-daughter figure, it awoken the jealousy inside her heart. She begins tormenting Guang Ai Li in secret and when Bei Ru found out about it, she thought her mother would get mad but she received a praise instead.

That's why she continue tormenting Guang Ai Li so that her mother will praise her and smile at her.

Guang Chu Bei smile bitterly as she remembers the past while waiting for her body to touch the ground and die.

How regretful... I wish I could atleast apologize before I die..

Before her unconsious body could reach the ground a strong muscular arms embrace her.

"How rare for a human to be here." A low baritone voice said.

Hou Dao, the demonic cultivator who lives quietly in the underworld look up to where the girl in his arms.

Looks like she got caught up in the fight earlier..

He stare at the unconsious girl and saw that the girl clothes were tore apart and had a hickeys on her neck.

Is this the girl from the rumor? The one the Demon Lord took in?

"But.."

Hou Dao look up again and sighed. "I guess I have to leave her here to die."

He slowly put the girl down on the ground but he stopped when he noticed something.

The girl's stomach is giving of some black mists.

No way..

He laughed unbelievably. Did the Demon Lord purposely left his seed inside of this girl's body or he did it unconsiously?

Knowing that this girl is carrying the Demon Lord's child, he change his mind and take her with him to hide.

GUANG CHU BEI woke up in a unfamiliar place. She got up and look around. It looks like a commoner's old house.

"You're finally awake." A low baritone voice said.

She immediately alert herself and turn to the man who entered the house.

A brown hair, and black eyed man looking at her like he's waiting for her to attack.

"Who are you?"

The man sneer. "Hou Dao, from Hou Demonic Clan. I'm the one who saved your life, don't you think you should atleast repay me?"

Guang Chu Bei frown. "Then you should have just let me die if you are going to ask for a reward in the end."

"I can't do that. Especially when you are carrying the Demon Lord's child."

Guang Chu Bei shudders after hearing his words.

W-what child? How could I...

"Just so you know.. I didn't saved your life but the child's life."

She suddenly felt dizzy and stagger. Hou Dao supported her and lay her down on the bed.

"You should rest more."

Hearing him said it with a gentle tone is like a lullaby in her ears as she slowly close her eyes and a lone tear escape from her eyes.

Why...? Why does he have to leave a proof of that hateful night?

-5 YEARS LATER-

YEARS HAVE PASSED like a river and Guang Chu Bei's life is neither good or bad during those years.

After knowing she's pregnant, she wanted to get rid of it at first but Hou Dao stopped her and said that if the she get rid of the child the Demon Lord would detect her and kill her.

She decided to keep the child while Hou Dao helped her as her stomach grew bigger and bigger. During her pregnancy, she can't help but to fall in love with Hou Dao.

She fell in love for the first time, but she hesitated. She wasn't pure anymore, she's filthy and don't deserve to be with Hou Dao. But as she was about to forget about her feelings for him, Hou Dao confessed to her.

Turns out she wasn't the only one. But how could a filthy woman like her be deserving for his love?

When she rejected him she thought he'd give up but he didn't. He even made her feel his love and care that made her impossible to resist.

"Mother!"

Guang Chu Bei look down to face his son, Hou Rong. Her and the Demon Lord's child. Hou Rong inherited Li Xia Zou's hair that always attracts many demons attention.

She gently stroke her son's hair and smile. "What is it?"

"Who is the Demon Lord that everyone's talking about everytime they saw my hair?" Hou Rong asked with an innocent look.

Guang Chu Bei flinched at her son's question. How will she tell her son about the Demon Lord who did horrible thing to her but give her a wonderful gift at the same time?

Is it okay to tell him the truth?

"He used to be a ruler of the underworld. He's a horrible man who wants to rule over the whole world."

Before she could answer her son Hou Dao gave him the answer. She look at Hou Dao who's holding their 1 year old daughter.

"Right, so no matter what happens. You shouldn't be like him, Hou Rong." She added.

Hou Rong smile brightly. "I understand, Mother."

Guang Chu Bei didn't want to be like her mother who would use her own child for power. She wanted to become a good mother and wife.

This is the family she wants. A happy and wonderful family that she wanted to treasure and protect.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Sorry for the very very very veeeeeeeeeeeeery late update. I wanted to do Guang Chu Bei's side story first before I continue. I had a writer's block for a loooooong time.

P.S. I'll have to make you all wait again for a long time. I don't know when will I'm gonna post the next chapter so I'm very sorry in advance.
