CHAPTER 24
NAGISING AKO dahil sa mga sigawan at tawanan na nanggagaling sa labas. Nakatali ang kamay at paa ko gamit ang kadena habang nakaangat ang katawan sa sahig.
Dahan-dahan kong minulat ang aking mata only to see a dim red light coming from the red moon. Puro bungo din ang nakikita ko sa ibaba.
Where am I?
Sinubukan kong igalaw ang mga kamay ko pero mas lalo lang humigpit ang pagkakakapit ng kadena sa pulsuhan ko.
How the hell did I get in here?!
Sa pagkakaalala ko I was about to go to sleep when I smelled an unfamiliar fragrance from the incense. Sinubukan kong labanan ang antok noong may narinig akong kaluskos.
But the scent was too strong Kaya bumigay ang katawan ko and now I'm here. All chained up together with this bones.
Napatingin ako sa taas at nakita ko ang bilog na bilog na pulang buwan. Nasa ilalim ako ng isang hole and I think this is what they called dungeon.
Nasa Divine Palace parin ba ako?
"I can see you're awake."
"Who are you? Magpakita ka."-kalmadong tanong ko.
Narinig ko ang nakakakilabot na tawa nito pero hindi ako nagpadala sa takot. Para kasing hinalukay sa ilalim ng lupa ang boses nito.
"Do you really want to know who I am?"-he asked.
Napairap ako dahil sa tanong nito. "Obviously. It is my rights to know who's the person behind my being kidnapped."
Napahalakhak ito ng malakas. Yung halakhak ng demonyo. Nakakapanindig balahibo.
"You're quite brave, young lady. But what does this 'kidnapped' mean?"
Hindi ko ito sinagot at inismiran lang siya. "Tell me who you are and what do you want from me."-straight forward na sabi ko.
Nakita kong may nabuong anino sa madilim na parte ng lugar na 'to. Unti-unting nagpakita ang may-ari no'n.
Orange long hair. Black cloth with gold belt. Black eyes and pale skins. Nakangisi itong nakatingin sa'kin.
"I am the God of the underworld, Li Xia Zou. I am also the twin brother of the Divine Beast Lord."-sagot nito.
Nanlaki ang mata ko at napaawang ang labi dahil sa huling sinabi nito. Feeling ko kumalas ang utak ko sa ulo dahil hindi ito nagpa-function ng maayos.
Twin brother? Si Shou Gonglu? How come? God of the underworld? Like Hades?
[A/N: Si Hades ang God of the underworld sa Greek Mythology but since nasa ibang mundo si Lerian iba rin ang Demon Lord.]
Napatigil ako sa pag-iisip at tinaasan siya ng isang kilay. "Anong kailangan mo sa'kin? As far as I remember, this is the first time we've met."
Nawala ang ngisi sa labi nito and I can see amusement in his eyes while looking at me.
"You are really different from her. Others would shake in fear just hearing my name but you.. you bravely asked me what I want from you without even stammering."-he said, amuse.
Her? Does he mean Xiao Li?
Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin. Did he just compared me with Xiao Li? How dare him?!
He unbelievably laughed when he saw me glaring at him. "Now you dare to looked at me like you are killing me inside your mind."
Sumeryoso ang mukha nito pero hindi nawala ang ngisi sa mga labi. "Are you really not scared of me?"-tanong nito gamit ang nakakatakot na boses.
Lumamig ang buong katawan ko at nagsitayuan ang mga balahibo ko. Nakakakilabot ang boses nito isama mo pa ang nakakatakot nitong titig.
But that doesn't mean I'm scared of him.
"What do you want from me?"-madiing tanong ko ulit.
"Your body."-mabilis na sagot nito pero gamit na ang normal na boses. "I want your body."
Napasinghap ako at nanlalaking mata na tinignan siya. He wants my body?! Why?! Does he mean.. Oh my God!
"You know.. naiintindihan kita."-pagsisimula ko. "I understand if you sway that way."
Napatigil ito at naguguluhang tumingin sa'kin. Naaawang tumingin ako sa kanya at napailing-iling.
"I apologise but you can not have my body. My body does not suit your face."
"What are you talking about?! And what do you mean by 'sway that way'?"
"Nevermind that word." I don't know how to explain it to you anyway. "I apologise again but I can't lend you my body. But if you really want to change your manly figure, maybe I can help you have some boobs and cut you–"
"Impudent! How disgraceful!"-dumilim ang mukha nito at masama ang tingin sa'kin. "How dare you say such vulgar word in front of me?!"-sigaw nito.
Napatingil ako at do'n ko lang napansin ang mga sinabi ko. Ah! How I want to cut my tongue!
"Aren't you the one who started it first? You vulgarly said you want my body! So call us even!"-sigaw ko pabalik.
Napatingin ako sa kadena bago tumingin ulit sa kanya. "Pwede mo bang tanggalin ang mga kadenang 'to?! Nangangalay na ako eh!"
Mas lalong sumama ang tingin nito sa'kin. "You dare ordered the Demon Lord?! You do know that you are in the underworld, do you? And you also know that I can do whatever I like to you."
Sinamaan ko ito ng tingin ng bigla itong ngumisi. "You have both pure yin and yang soul."-makahulugang sabi nito.
Yin and yang? My yin and yang soul?
Realization hit me. He wants my body meaning he NEEDS my body in order to get the half my yin yang soul. But why?
=THIRD PERSON=
WHILE LERIAN and the demon Lord talking with each other, both of them are not aware that Shou Gonglu was silently sneaking in the underworld.
Shou Gonglu is only thinking about saving his bride, Lerian. He knows his brother well. Li Xia Zou is a cunning man. He'll do everything just to kill his own twin brother.
He already did it once because he hostaged Xiao Li and he took away her purity. This time he won't let him win. He will save Lerian from his brothers hands.
Not when he's already falling in love with her–hardly and deeply in love with the girl who owns the half of his soul.
