Chapter 3 : The Mysterious Girl

Hiccup POV

"What happened here? Everyone looks so cold and... freezing." I asked.

"Well, you see... our kingdom was cursed with eternal winter by a queen..." Kai said as he began to answer my question.

"Queen?" I raised my eyebrow with curiosity which sounds familiar.

"Yes... 3 years ago, it was a beautiful day during her coronation. But then she couldn't control herself because of her fear that haunts in her mind. In order to overcome her fears, she... ran away and disappeared into the woods. We tried to search her for almost a week but it was no use as we didn't find even a single trace of her." He said with a frowned look on his face.

"That's... terrible..." I shocked.

"Ever since she disappeared, a massive blizzards had froze our kingdom. We believed that it must been her doing. We had no choice but to escape from there. If we didn't do so, we would've froze to death..." He added.

I couldn't believe this but I felt so bad for this queen that Kai was talking about. It caught my attention when he mentioned the word 'queen'. I have to find her before anything gets worse. When I was walking away from him to find Toothless, he grabbed my waist.

"Where are you going?" He inquired.

"Listen, Kai. I have to find Elsa-"

"Elsa? How did you know that name?" He cut off my sentence.

"I'll tell you when everything is back to normal, okay?" I assured him.

"No! You can't! You'll die out there! No one can find her, you hear me?! Until now, every guy that we sent to find her didn't make it back here in one piece...!" He scolded me but I have my patience.

"Look, I want to help you, Kai. But are you guys rather live like this forever? Look around you, more of your people are getting sick. Sooner or later they're gonna die freezing to death...!" My voice got loud which made everyone turned their heads to us.

"You can stop me if you want but my heart tells me that I need to find her. If I can just talk some sense into her, maybe she can end all of this..." I dared him.

Within a few minutes he stood in front me like a statue, thinking about what I just said to him. I couldn't wait any longer for his answer so I turned around from him. I walked away before I could call my dragon. Then, someone grabbed me by my waist. It was Kai again.

"Wait..." He pleaded.

"Promise me that you'll bring her safe... to end this curse... bring her home..." He asked for a request.

"Don't worry, I will." I smiled to him before he let go of my arm.

I whistled to call upon Toothless. It didn't take too long for him to show up. Everyone gasped as they witnessed a black winged creature appeared from the clouds before he swooped down to get me. Kai managed to calm them down telling that Toothless meant no harm to them and I'm his rider.

"Woah, woah, Hicc. What's all that racket about? And... where do you think you're going?" Jack showed up when he saw me mounting on Toothless to go somewhere.

"I need to find Queen Elsa." I answered.

"Really? Right now? I'll go get the girls ready." He said as he was rushing to the tent where Merida and Rapunzel were taking their rest. Eventually, I stopped him.

"No, Jack, hold up for a moment. I need you to look after them. Can you do that? I don't want any of you get hurt..." I said.

"B-But what about you?! I can't let you go out there all by yourself...! We're all in this together, remember...?" He begged.

"Trust me. I've been through worse than this, okay? Remember how I lost my leg a few years ago and I didn't mind it?"

He acted just like Kai. Then, he finally accepted my favor to look after them.

"Just be careful out there, alright? Don't let yourself getting hurt or Rapunzel won't treat your wounds like last time..." He smirked playfully. I could only just chuckled during that moment.

"Take care of yourself, dude..." He smiled.

"Yeah, man. Wish me luck..." I smiled back.

Before I could blast off, I fixed my position so there won't be any problems during my flight. My left prosthetic leg had already attached. I put on my dragon helmet.

"Ready, bud?" I patted Toothless's head so he could get my message and he growled in agreement as a yes.

Then, we blasted off into the sky. Hours had passed as we flew yet there still no signs of her. All I could see was nothing but a fallen snows from the sky that decorate this huge land. Not to mention that there's a snow mountain which it could be the only place that I didn't look for her. As we got closer to the mountain, Toothless's ears perked up which it means that he sensed something strange.

"What's the matter, bud? You see something?" I asked him.

His eyes were looking at something below us. As soon as I saw where he was looking at, I heard someone yelling a person's name. Two guys were chasing after someone dressed in a cloak.

"Stop!! You can't run forever...! We will end this curse once we done with you!!" One of them screamed on top of his lungs.

"Toothless, let's follow them. There's something wrong with that person who got chased by these guys..." I ordered him.

We followed them for awhile. That person managed to escape from them. I can't tell myself that the person is either a boy or a girl.

"Dammit! She got away...! Find her!!"

She...? So, that person must be a girl. But why were these men chasing after her? Did she betrayed them or something? The only way to make my questions in my mind had some answers is to ask her myself. She kept running to the mountain as I followed her but luckily she didn't notice my presence.

My eyes widen in surprised when I realized where she was going. That girl went to other side of the mountain where there's a HUGE castle made from... ice? How come there's a castle in that mountain? I'm pretty impressed that the castle looked very beautiful. I never seen anything like this before. But most importantly, who BUILT that castle? She went inside it as I watched her from afar.

When we reached there, I told Toothless to wait outside so he could see if anything happened. I went inside the castle. From there, I was amazed that everything looked so pretty. Almost everything was made from ice. As I walked further, my metal leg got tripped which made me fell on the cold ground because the floor was too slippery for me to walk.

"W-Who's there?" I heard a soft voice.

When I got up, a figure appeared from the ice door. And... sure enough, it's the girl who I was following from the beginning. This time, she revealed herself as a beautiful young girl.

"Who are you? And how did you find me here...?!" She demanded for answers.

I couldn't answer her because my mind kept thinking about how beautiful she was when I saw her at first sight.

A/N : I apologize for the late update. Recently, I have so many homework in school which it always keep me busy for most of the time. So, I hope you guys understand about my situation. Don't worry, I won't abandoned this story. If I have some time, I might write a new chapter. Also, I hope y'all enjoy this one.
