Well, at least she's fine... for now. Toothless used his head to move me a bit in order for me to wake up. I tried my best to open my half closed eyes for a clear vision. When I did, I saw Toothless who was growling in front of me that made me smiled in the beginning of the day.
"Good morning, Toothless." I yawned before I placed my palm on his head to pat him.
Then, he let out another growled. My mind flashed out, thinking what the dragon was trying to say. I didn't realize that someone was sleeping with me last night.
Oh, now I remember.
Toothless was trying to say that I was sleeping with Elsa last night. I apologized to him for not sleeping with him instead. After that, he made a weird expression which I could understand his next sentence. Good thing that I'm a dragon tamer, I bet can understand EVERY dragon's language when it comes to communicate with them.
"I'm hungry too, bud..." I said to him as we heard our stomach rumbled, desperately starving for food.
"And so do her..." I added as I looked at Elsa who was sleeping, resting her head on my lap.
I stroked her platinum blonde hair and it's very soft like silk. She must've been tired. Of all the things that she'd been through last night, yet she still have the strength to overcome it and I like this type of girl. Just like Merida...
When I mentioned her name, an image of my friends appeared on my mind one by one: Jack, Rapunzel, Merida, Kai and the others, of course. I wondered how they were doing right now. They must have been fighting whatever it takes to survive yet I'm almost forgot my purpose to set things back to normal.
I got up carefully and told Toothless to look after her. When I did, I glanced to the entrance of the cave where we got here. I saw a sunlight that lighten up only on the ground, indicating that a morning day has begun. Without a doubt, I walked towards there that took only couple of seconds. As soon as the sunlight touched my skin, I extended my hand a bit to cover my face so that it didn't blind my eyes.
When I got a clear vision, I saw that everything in here didn't make any changes. Well... except for the light that came from the Sun to light up this huge land. As I took some time to look at the surroundings, I wondered what this place would look like when there's no snow, no grey clouds or something like that. It's must be a pretty place in here if it really happened... hopefully.
My stomach was grumbling again, begging me to find something to eat. I also need to feed Toothless and Elsa. If I don't, who knew what would have happened to them... especially Toothless. When it comes to feed him, it's like he rarely never shared food with me but I didn't mind it. So, I need to hunt some. No, wait. I need to hunt MORE.
I searched for a hard-wood tree. In here, there were dozens of them so I had to pick the right choice. As I looked at them, one of it caught my attention. I hit it lightly, receiving a rough sound. I smiled, knowing that this might be the one. I pulled out my knife from my waist before I made myself a wooden bow. When I'm done with it, I was pretty impressed by the looks of it. My bow was made by hard wood that I found earlier, completed with a quiver of arrows. Alright, everything was set. Now, I like to call myself a hunter. And by hunter, I mean a ROOKIE one. But on the bright side, my crafting skills was improved so... yeah.
A few hours later...
I'm starting to feel like I was going to pass out. I caught so many portions today but it was worth it. I brought them back to the cave, where Elsa and Toothless were resting, waiting for me to come back. When I did, a snowstorm was going to happen as I set my foot in the cave. I used some leftover woods to make a fire in order to cook the meat. The cooking created a delicious aroma. Toothless sniffed it that made him woke up.
"Hey, bud. Here..." I kicked a basket filled with his fish before he stormed in it to eat like a hungry wolf.
As for me, I ate some cooked ones and I ate A LOT. I almost forgot that I need to leave some for Elsa!
"Morning, Hiccup..." She finally woke up, rubbing her eyes right after she yawned.
"It's already afternoon, Elsa..." I chuckled, seeing that she didn't realize that she was sleeping for a couple of hours in the morning.
"W-What?! It's afternoon already?! I-" I cut off her sentence as I looked at her panicking for no reason.
"Whoa, whoa, what's the matter?" I put my hands on her shoulders as I looked her in the eyes, waiting for her response.
"Why didn't you wake me...? I could've helped you with something..." She frowned, looking down in disappointment.
"I'm sorry, Elsa. You've been through a lot last night so I figured that you need some time to rest. Clear your mind from it..." I explained, throwing a smile that might cheer her up.
"Do you understand...?" I lifted her chin to face me, my green eyes met with her icy blue ones.
"I understand." She replied, smiling back in return.
"Hungry?" I handed her a stick of meat which I cooked some for her.
"Uh..."
"What? Never eat something like this before? You better eat it if you wanna live... I won't force you to do so." I teased, smirking while swinging the food back and forth in front of her face.
"Uh... O-Okay..." She muttered.
The moment she took a bite of it, she's more like a hungry wolf. She asked if there's anymore of it and I said yes. Then, another one. Then again, another one. Until she finished all of it, leaving her burping so loud out of the blue. Elsa blushed when Toothless and I watched her reaction after she ate EVERYTHING. She ate MORE than Toothless.
"W-What?" She asked, although she knew what we're seeing.
"Wow. Hungry much?" I teased.
"Oh, shut up...!" She snapped, causing me to laugh out loud.
Then, we both had a fun time together but it won't last that long.
"Hey..." She said, getting up on her feet before walking towards to my bow.
She picked it up, taking her moment to look at it. Then, she turned to me.
"Did you make this?" She asked, showing me the bow.
"Yep." I answered simply with a nod.
"Oh..." was all she could say.
Her head was facing down on the ground, probably thinking about something.
"Something in your mind?" I interrupted her thoughts.
"Do you... think that things would go back to normal?"
