Chapter 9 : Nightmare

A few hours had passed, yet there's still a place for us to rest. We got so tired from the experience earlier and it caused us to finally get some sleep.

Elsa POV

I got woken up at a strange place. My vision was a bit blurry as I tried to get on my feet. By the time it got cleared, my eyes widen in shocked, gasped for what I just saw around me. It's the place where I used to call home but not in my kingdom.

I'm at the ice castle.

How did I even got here?

My head kept looking around for Hiccup and he's not here. There's no sign of him. Not even his voice that could echo in my ears to hear. Something didn't feel right to me about this place.

Although it's my castle, yet it looked a bit different from mine that I built the other day. It was dark as pitch from the outside. Another thing that I noticed and it's my clothes. It switched from my blue sweater to the Snow Queen dress...!

"What's going on here...?" I thought.

Maybe I should find out more on the top floor. I went there by taking the stairs. Every time I took my steps on it, a strange feelings floated in my mind out of the blue. I failed to let it go as it wouldn't let me fade it out of my mind.

"Elsa...?" A voice was heard from the top floor of the castle, calling my name.

That voice seemed so familiar. My steps on the stairs got stopped as I tried to remember whose that voice was calling me. It sounded like a girl. Wait a minute...

Could it be...?

I ran as fast as I can to reach the top floor. When my mind remembered who it was, a horrific sounds triggered in my head. At same time, vision in my eyes became blurry. I put my hand on my head, trying whatever it takes to resist it and I grunted in pain.

After a few minutes, I barely reached there with the strength that I had left. As soon as I was there, a strange figure stood a few meters away from my position. I couldn't get a closer look to it because my head was killing me from the inside. It became much worse as I tried to approach it, with every step that took me 3 seconds to do it.

The figure vanished with dark smokes by the time I approached it. I got confused of what happened. Then, someone pushed me from behind before I tripped on the cold hard ground. I gasped during that moment. It's not really hurt, I supposed. But when I got up, ices from the floor started to form something which I don't know what it was.

I noticed that it slowly forming another figure and it's completely different from what I just saw earlier.

"W-What the..." I muttered and my mind haunted with fears, witnessing someone yet it stood before me with stare in its eyes.

It's me. The other me.

"H-How...?!"

"What's wrong, Elsa? You don't recognize me?" She spoke like an evil person.

"N-No... y-you're not real...!!"

"Face it, Elsa... you're a monster...!" She said before she took her step forward to me.

"W-What...? M-Monster...?!" My heart dropped when I heard that word.

With fears crawling all over me, I made my decision to escape but she laughed like a maniac when I was trying to do so. Her laugh became even more horrific as I was running away from her.

"There's no escape...!" She hissed then had me pinned on the ice floor using her ice powers but it's different than mine. It covered by light blue with dark and grey colours.

"You're weak, Elsa..." She grinned.

I noticed that the castle turned into like a castle consumed by darkness. The walls glowed with bright red, indicating a warning which I didn't possibly know what would have happened to whoever touches it.

There were some huge spikes of ice on every corner of the walls. This was just like back on the day that I escaped from my castle. But to me, it looks more deadlier than ever.

From the look on her face, I could see hatred in her eyes. All she could do was smirking at me as I witnessed everything that happened in this place. After that, I looked at her, feeling a bit scared within me. She looked at me back and when she did, I felt like my heart got stabbed by thousands of needles.

How could she do this...?

Why am I so afraid of her...?

"So... what do you think?" She asked about her 'creation'.

"W-Why are you doing this...?" I muttered.

Instead of answering my question, she laughed like there's no tomorrow. It really annoyed me when someone did something to me like that.

I had enough of this...

When she was laughing, I had my chances to break out of her ice that was freezing me. I dashed backwards for a quick step back from her. She looked really shocked. From what I could tell, she prepared for anything that came in her way.

"Oh... playing dirty, are we?" She hissed.

I was spreading ice on the floor, forming a huge spikes so she won't get closer to me. She made her first attack by creating an ice spear in her hand before she threw it at me. I managed to block it with my ice wall as a shield. At the right time, I made another shot and it hit her successfully. She grunted a little.

Then, she went silenced while holding her arm with her hand where it got hurt. I heard her chuckled.

"What are you...?!" I asked angrily.

"You sure you wanna know...?!" She asked with her head looking down at the floor.

She disappeared in a blink of an eye.

"I am you... a monster...!!" Her voice echoed in my head.

"Everyone hates you... The villagers and all the people in the land called you monster...!!"

"N-No...!! I'm not a monster like you...!!"

"Face it, Elsa... this is who you are..." Her voice was laughing in my head which it made me cried on my knees, hoping that this would come to an end.

"No... get out of my head...! S-Stop...!!" I demanded as I covered my ears with my hands.

"Nooooooo...!!!!!!!"
