Chapter 5 : A Helping Hand

Jack POV

When I was helping the people at the camp, a loud cracking sound was heard and caught everyone's attention. That sound came from the big snowy mountain and it looked like it's destroying itself as I watched it with the others.

"Oh, no...! What happened up there...?!" I heard one of them gasped in shocked and feared at the same time.

"Hey, what's going on?" Rapunzel appeared beside me along with Merida.

"What's everyone looking at?" Merida inquired me as she looked around at people who had their face of fear.

"Look..." I pointed for her where everyone was looking at.

Both of them jaw-dropped when they looked where I was pointing at. After the mountain had destroyed, it looked more like the one that got split in half. Luckily, the snows were sliding themselves on the other side of the land not ours during the process.

"How could that even possible...?" Rapunzel closed her opened mouth with her hands as she never witnessed anything like this before.

"You think Hiccup is gonna be alright up there...?" Merida asked me as she was concerned about him.

"Well, I hope so. Don't worry... he's a one tough guy. If something's up, he always figured it out..." I assured her.

Merida POV

I'm very worried about Hiccup. I always wondered myself about how was he doing right now. Jack assured me that he's gonna fine. But that didn't help me to stay calm. I know that he's brave and all, but I don't think he can get through with all this with no one by his side.

"Kai! Kai...!" One of the people at the camp was rushing to find him while screaming for his name.

"Whoa, whoa...! Easy there...! What's going on...?" Kai tried to calm him when he reached the man himself.

"We... we ran out of food...!" He spoke out while catching his breath.

"What...?!" He exclaimed in disbelief.

"Sooner or later we're all going to starve to death...!"

They ran out of food? He must be one of the hunters who were going out to the wild hunting for food. I can't let the people suffers. First the blizzards, now this? So, I decided that I should help them.

"Maybe I can help." I said as I approached them.

"What...?" His man raised one of his eyebrows with curiosity because I think their hunting job never get involved by a GIRL.

"I can help you with your job. With my skills, I'm sure that your people will get enough food as possible..." I explained.

"What...? N-No, I don't think-"

"Look, can you give me a chance to prove what I'm capable of...?" I cut him.

He looked at Kai's face. He thought for awhile about my decision. Then, they finally turned their heads to me.

"Are you sure about this, Merida...?" Kai asked before I nodded as a yes.

"Okay..." He agreed.

"Here. Take this... you're gonna need it." The hunter gave me a crossbow for the job.

"No, thanks. I already have... this." I declined his gift as I showed him my bow.

"Merida, where are you going?" Jack showed up before I went to the forest with the other hunters.

"I'm going hunting." I simply answered his question.

"But you just-"

"I'll be fine, Jack. I trust them..." I turned my head to look at them who were waiting for me at the gate.

"Okay... uhh... be careful, all right?" He said awkwardly before I took my leave.

Meanwhile...

Elsa POV

I felt really exhausted after the incident. It really gave me a pain when I thought about it. When I opened my eyes, I realized that I'm somewhere else. Where am I? I groaned in pain when I tried to get up. As my vision had completely clear, I found myself in a strange room.

"Hey, you awake?" A soft voice echoed in my ears which I recognized who it was. It's the boy who saved me, Hiccup.

"W-Where am I...?" I asked.

"You're in the shack where I rented from a guy named Oaken... Don't worry, you're safe now. And... try not to get up, okay?" He said which it sounds like a warning.

Suddenly, I kinda felt something was wrong with me. As soon as I realized it, I'm wearing a different CLOTHES. I wore a blue winter coat with snowflakes pattern on it.

"Did you just-"

"Yes. I'm sorry. Your clothes that you wear earlier had been damaged badly. If you don't change it, your condition might get even worse. So... I figured it out. And uhh... sorry, okay? I have to... otherwise, your life will be in danger..." He explained and cut off my sentence.

I blushed so hard when I thought about how he 'change' my clothes. But hey, someone has to do something so I guess he had no other choice.

"T-Thank you..." I mumbled and blushed at the same time.

"Don't mention it..." He smiled which made me smiled back to him suddenly. Wait. Did I just smiled to him? I never smiled to someone before. To tell the truth, I felt a strange feelings within my heart every time I see him smiling. Was it happiness? Sadness? Or... love?

"Hey, are you okay?" He snapped me back into reality.

"W-What...? I'm sorry, I-I just..."

"Let me see it..." He rolled up my sleeve to see my wounds and I was terrified when I looked at it.

"It's not that bad, Elsa. It'll be fine in few days..." He calmed me down.

"H-How did you know my name...?" I asked.

"My friend told me about you..." He answered.

"Who is it...?"
