Her question was pretty difficult for me to answer. I tried to think really hard so that I could answer her question. I'm worried that my answer couldn't make her feel any better but there's no other choice.
"What makes you say that, Elsa?" I asked, trying to avoid the subject that she was talking about.
"Well... umm..." She muttered, her mind couldn't find the right word to answer me for response.
"Hey..." I took a hold of her soft hand.
She was a bit surprised at first when I did that but she didn't resist it. Her icy blue eyes were locked against my green ones. She was staring at me, waiting for me to say something while biting her lower lips. She might get scared if I gave her an uncomfortable answers. So, I threw her a smile. Then, she smiled in return.
"Don't worry. We will get through this, Elsa. I promise..." I said while squeezing both of her hands softly for comfort.
"T-Thanks, Hiccup..." She smiled and it was the most incredible thing that I loved to see. Wait... Did I just said that...?
I gazed at the sky. It looked pretty cloudy although it's already afternoon. My mind drifted, thinking of what are we going to do next. Apparently, Elsa's words made me glanced to her as she interrupted my thoughts.
"Hicc...?" She called my nickname.
"Hmm? What it is?" I glanced to her.
"There is something that I need to tell you..." Her voice got lower at the end like mumbling which I could almost hear it.
"Really? What would that be...?"
"Umm... uhh..."
Her head was looking down at the ground floor of the cave entrance. At the same time, she was twirling her fingers. I'm so confused by her reaction.
"Yes?"
"N-Never mind..." She gave up.
Was she trying to tell me something or what? Did she trying to apologize or something?
I sighed heavily that made Elsa noticed. She looked at me with a worried expression. I looked at her and I smiled, hoping that she wouldn't have to worry about me. Everything in front of me had changed... a bit. I couldn't put my finger with it but something's wrong here.
"We can't stay here forever..." I said, examining the environment.
"What?"
"Let's get out of here. I think it's getting dangerous if we stay here for too long..." I replied, grabbing her hand to take her to Toothless.
"C'mon, bud. We don't have much time." I called the dragon to come over.
"Hiccup, what's happening?" Elsa asked, feeling a little anxious about the situation.
We're both hopped on the dragon after checking our supplies. I took my final moment to check in the cave in case if there's anything left. Apparently, I had everything. I ran back to Toothless. He looks energized, so that means he was ready for a long journey ahead.
"Hiccup?" Her soft voice called me again.
"I'll explain later. Right now, we have to leave. I promise..." I answered.
"Go, bud...!" I ordered Toothless to blast off.
When we're on the sky, a cold wind hit my skin that caused me a bit shivered but I hoped that my armor could withstand it. As for Elsa, who was wrapping her arms around my body from behind, had noticed my cold breath.
"Are you alright?" She asked, trying to hug me tighter than she just did for heat transfer to my body.
"You don't have to worry about me..." I said, reassuring the girl with platinum blonde hair.
My head was killing me. What's happening to me? My body felt so weak that I could barely control Toothless's flight. Did I just ate something poisonous before we took off? As far as I know, I never found anything that looks inedible. Food in here was fresh although it's snow. Suddenly, a strange sound like a shockwave erupted in my mind.
I placed my right hand on my head, trying to resist whatever that thing came from but it was no use as it's worthless. I grunted a little. At the same time, I did my best to avoid Elsa noticed it so she didn't have to worry about me.
The sky didn't look so good. It became more cloudy for every fifteen minutes had passed during our travel. Unseen strong wind that brought along with snows swoosh, filling an entire space of the atmosphere. Judging from this, my guts told me that something bad was going to happen very soon.
Toothless always had his eyes on the flight. If something looked suspicious to him, his ears would have perked up for drawing my attention. But at this time, he was not what I expected. It's just me or am I the only person who aware that a massive snowstorm was going to tear us apart anytime soon?
"Uhh... Elsa?" I said, trying to wake her up although I wasn't planning to.
"Hmm...?" She replied with a humming tone rather than speaking.
"You better hang tight on me right now." I said, hearing the cold wind was getting stronger and louder by any seconds.
"W-Why? Are you cold?" She asked.
"N-No... it's the... the... snow-" I replied weakly but she cut off my sentence.
"Hiccup, watch out!" She warned while pointing out that there's a large tree in front of us which we were going to hit it in a few seconds.
I barely dodged it by turning my right direction. I grunted, realizing that we're just putting ourselves in danger. Toothless growled at me, stating that I should be more careful next time.
"I'm sorry, Toothless. I just... got lost in there." I apologized to the dragon.
"Hiccup...!"
"I know, I know! Get us out of here, bud!" I ordered the Night Fury.
The snowstorm was getting stronger than I had imagined. I really wished that we shouldn't leave the cave earlier. But now it's not the time to think about that. It's hopeless.
The worst part was, I didn't know if we could make it through this unavoidable 'disaster'.
