Hiccup POV

Luckily, we found a cave beneath the cliff of the snow mountain. As soon as we're there, I felt like my body could no longer move as I'm really tired and so did Toothless.

"We should stay here for awhile..." I sighed heavily as I hop off from Toothless before I slumped myself down to rest.

"Y-Yeah..." She mumbled.

"Are you alright, Elsa?" I asked her with my eyes still closed to sleep with Toothless.

"I'm fine..." She replied softly.

"Good night..." I ended our conversation.

It was a long night for me that day. Until I heard someone screaming that caused me startled in surprised. Toothless did the same thing like me, which it explained why his head was glancing at every corner of the cave. He's trying to search where was the screaming coming from and I knew who it was. I mean, who else would live here if not us?

"Nooooooo...!!!!!!" It was Elsa's voice.

She was sleeping on the other side of the cave, thinking that she might get uncomfortable when she had to sleep with me. I rushed to get to her by following her voice.

When I found her, all I could feel was sadness. She was lying on the cold hard ground, wrapping herself with both of her arms and knees at the same time. I could hear her sobbing, probably she had awoken from her dream.

Nightmare, I supposed.

"Elsa...?" I called her beautiful name.

She didn't respond to me as I took my steps to get close to her. I always wondered to myself about this situation. Did she usually like this when she was a kid? Nightmares didn't happen too much to most people in my opinion. But she... I guessed it happened to her EVERY night.

"What happened, Elsa...?" I asked.

Finally, she looked up to me. When she did, her eyes were red that caused from her crying but it didn't ruin her pretty face. I smiled every time I saw it but in this moment, that's probably not the time for that.

"I-I... I..." She muttered, her voice cracked when she spoke.

"You always had nightmares, aren't you?" I asked her.

She got up and cried on her knees. Not to be gentle or anything but I hate seeing her like this. It never ends. Sometimes I told her to let it go. My wise words worked on her back on the day which I saw her like this for the first time. Technically, I thought of something that I hoped it'll make her felt better. Here goes nothing...

"You wanna talk about it...?" I questioned her, while she still sobbing.

"W-What are you talking about...?" She questioned me back.

"Did you always like this, Elsa?"

Yet there's still no response from her as she didn't open her mouth to answer my question. I decided to give it up but my heart told me that I need to know her story. This time, I leaned closer to her before I asked the same thing, whether she liked it or not.

"Elsa..." I called her name so she could pay my attention.

"It's okay... if you don't want to talk about it..." I said. Dang it! Why did I just say that? With my awkward personality, I walked away leaving her alone.

"H-Hiccup, wait...!" She exclaimed that made my steps stopped.

I glanced back to her. Elsa looked really pale and it worried me pretty much. She wiped her tears and said, "I-I do want to talk about it..."

"You sure? I don't want to bother you. Sorry for making you sad because of my stupid questions..." I scratched the back of my neck, feeling guilty and anxious at the same time.

"N-No it's not. You don't have to feel guilty, Hiccup..." She giggled as I took my steps forward to her before I sat down next to her, smiling like a fool person.

"You okay?" I asked.

"Yeah. I felt better now. Thank you, Hicc. For being here with me..." She blushed while looking away when she stated her last sentence.

"Hicc...?" I raised my eyebrow, hearing she just called my nickname that everyone I knew used to call me that.

"I-I'm sorry...! I'm not supposed to call you that..." She blushed, with her face was flashing red like a tomato.

"That's okay, Elsa! You can call me anything you want as long as it doesn't annoy me...!" I laughed.

"R-Really?" She looked at me and I looked at her.

"You heard me." I gave her a smile.

"So... tell me." I said, hoping that she knew what I'm talking about.

"When I was born in this world, I've been granted a 'gift' which no one ever had..." She began narrating.

"Gift...?" I asked.

"This..." She moved her hand a little bit, creating ice sculptures on the wall of the cave. I was amazed the moment she did.

"Wow..." My eyes widen in surprised and amazement.

"But..." She frowned and looked away.

I looked at her back and asked, "What's wrong, Elsa?"

"I couldn't control it..." She looked at both of her hands, remembering about her past, I supposed.

"Why not?"

"I-I just... can't... c-control..." Her hands shaken, feeling terrified and she warned me to stay away from her.

"Elsa, I can-" Before I could say another word, on the ground where she sat, ice spikes formed out of the blue around her that made me managed to dash backwards from it.

I started to wonder why I was like trying to catch my breath after I dodged her spikes. Maybe it's because I just witnessed who she really are. From the distance, I saw her crying again.

"I'm a monster, Hiccup..." Tears from her eyes were streaming down on her cheeks.

She's a monster? Why did she called herself like that? Was it because she couldn't control her powers? Without making noise, I went closer to her silently. Then, I took a hold of her soft hand in order to calm her down. Apparently, she did. Elsa looked surprised when I touched her hand but she didn't resist it.

"You're not a monster, Elsa. It's not who you are. You're a queen. A queen who vowed to set things right..." I embraced her with a hug and she finally stopped crying.

"Shh... don't worry, I'm here for you..."
