Merida POV

We traveled to the snow forest where the living things called animals used to live there. It took a few hours to get there as we traveled by foot. We're hunters needed to be cautious whenever we've seen them on our sight. Most of the livings here were deer, rabbits, and elk. Their fleshy meats could feed entire people at the camp.

"All right. You guys hunt the small ones. I'll go with the big ones, how's that sounds...?" I asked the hunters.

"Okay." They nodded in agreement.

"Let's spread out." I ordered them before they separated with one another.

I decided to hide myself in a bush. At the moment, I scouted around to see if there's anything roaming in the environment. Suddenly, I heard something like a 'thing' was passing through me and it almost spotted me which I knew that I need to break it line of sight. As soon as I got up a little bit to get a better view, a deer-like animal with large horns stood a few meters away from me. It's an elk. It seemed like it didn't notice my presence that made me sighed in relief.

"Now I got you...!" I took an arrow from my quiver before I placed it on my bow to make a shot.

I planned to surprise it. I pulled the string of my bow hardly for maximum damage. Then, I took a very deep breath so that my aim will steady. Within a few seconds later, I pulled it off before my arrow travelled to its target. It's staggering a bit and let out a furious growl. Oh crap, it spotted me. It charged towards me as I was trying to run from it. The elk was trying to hit me with its horn.

It almost hit me as I managed to dodge it out of its way. I grabbed another arrow immediately before I turned to its attention. With my reflexes, I shot at its foot, hoping that it could no longer fight back. And let's just say that my shot always hit like bullseye.

"It's over..." I sighed as I saw the elk started to move, trying to get up at the same time.

"Now, hold still..." I took out my knife so I could get my portion.

Before I stabbed it, the elk looked at me in the eyes. It whimpered, begging for mercy. I felt so guilty about this. But I had no other choice, I'm doing this for the people at the camp. If they didn't eat something, things would get bad... or worse. When it looked at me, somehow it reminded me of who I am. Then, I thought to myself.

"Am I a bad person...? For killing this living thing...?"

The elk slumped its head in defeat and closed its eyes, waiting for me to end it.

"I'm sorry..." I almost shed some tears as I forced myself to get the 'food'.

After everything done, I returned to the hunters who were just done like me at the same time. I tried to act natural so they didn't notice what I've been through. And I just glad they didn't cuz I don't want to trouble them.

"Let's head back. I think we had enough for today..." I told them.

~A few hours later~

Jack POV

Merida was hunting in the forest with the hunters and she still didn't return as I've seen no sign of her at the gate.

"Jack?" Rapunzel called me.

"What is it, Punz?"

"Do you think we can make it through all of this?" She asked with a worried look on her face.

"What makes you say that?" I asked her.

"Something is not right..."

"Hey, whatever happens, we'll make it through as long as we stay together, alright...?" I assured her.

"Yeah, you're right. Thanks, Jack." She smiled.

"How's the patients?" I asked about her role as... let's just say that she is a medic or should I say, a nurse.

"They'll be fine for now... hopefully. But I'll do everything I can to help." She said.

"Okay. Just do your best. I'm gonna go find Merida..." I walked away to do what I had in mind.

Meanwhile...

Hiccup POV

I was going outside to take some air with Toothless. I told Elsa to stay inside her room so she could have some rest. Her wounds was in the healing process and I guaranteed that she could go outside by tomorrow.

"I wonder how my friends are doing..." I thought to myself.

Suddenly, Toothless growled with curiosity that caused me snapped into reality.

"What is it, bud?" I asked him as I saw his ears perked up which it means he sensed something nearby.

Then, we found ourselves a camp but not the one like ours. We sneaked closer to the place to find out more about it.

"Hey, you think that we can find that witch...?" A rough voice was speaking with his partners.

"I hope so. If we don't, he is going to have us all killed..." He replied.

"Hey, guys..." Another man appeared from the woods with a package of food held on his hand.

"Where have you been...?!" His friend scolded him.

"Sorry, man. But you will not believe what I just found...!" He said excitedly.

"Will you just spilled the beans already?!"

"I found a shack where we can find something like uh... uh..." He couldn't find the right word to finish his sentence.

"More food...?" His friend thought.

"Or maybe that Snow Queen...?" The other man blurted out.

"What are you, an idiot?! How can that witch live in the place like that?!" He smacked the man's head for speaking nonsense.

"Enough, you two!! He might be right... and besides, I shot her earlier so she might be hid herself in there where she could be isolated. Remember how she destroyed her own ice castle?"

"Yeah, I remember." He responded to his friend's question.

"Alright, enough chitchat. We'll hunt her by tomorrow morning..." The other man ended their conversation before they went to sleep in their tent.

Wait a seconds. These are the goons who were chasing after Elsa.

"Oh, no..."
