Chapter 14 : Ambushed

Am I really dreaming or it's just a hallucination? I stopped on my track, trying to regain my breath but I failed. It's like the whole world had turned upside down. Tears were swelling on my eyes as I tried to move my feet, walking towards her. With every step that I took, I felt like I was stepping on a spiked floor which it's trying to stop me from reaching her.

Was she really...?

"No..." I whispered to myself.

This couldn't be happening! Even though it's happening, I still need to get some rest. The night had finally kicked in. Gerda told me that I should rest in the other room but I declined her offer. I told her that I should stay with Elsa who was recovering from whatever was hurting her. She respected my wish and the time went about a few hours.

I couldn't put myself to sleep which was annoying. It's really frustrating when you try to rest and recover yourself from injuries at the same time. I had this strange dream that was keeping me awake. Toothless, on the other hand, was sleeping peacefully without any disturbances. I groaned a bit, feeling that I wanted to yell for not having a peaceful slumber. Then, I sighed. I thought about the dream that I mentioned before. My head turned to see Elsa. At the moment, I smiled, watching her sleep was really cute. But it didn't last long for that one.

That dream again...

"What was all about...?" I thought.

I shook that thought away before continued to sleep. As I was going to do so, I heard someone screaming from the outside. Toothless woke up when he heard this too. We both stood up to go outside to see what was going on. When I opened the door, the person who was screaming just now was Gerda. She was lying on the ground of snow with her hand and feet tied up by ropes and her mouth covered by cloth. We didn't hesitate but to come to her rescue.

"Gerda...! Who did this to you?!" I said while running towards her, followed by Toothless.

She was mumbling something, which I couldn't understand. As I was getting closer to her, I got knocked down by someone from behind.

"We got him!!!" A familiar voice shouted to his friends.

"Hey!! Let me go!!" I said, demanding him as he pinned me on the ground. I was a bit hurt thanks to my wounds which still didn't recover yet.

It's no use. All my strength had drained rapidly trying to break free. Wait a minute... I recognized these guys. They were the one who were hunting down Elsa in the ice castle. How did they find us here?

"Dammit!" I cursed myself.

I stood on my knees, as well as Gerda. Except that my mouth didn't cover like her. Probably for these bastards to interrogate me about Elsa's whereabouts. Toothless was in a situation like me too. This time, they were more of them than before. My dragon didn't manage to take them down because there were too many of them.

"You. Get up." One of the guys ordered me to get on my feet which I refused.

"Get up!!!" He impatiently growled at me as kicked me in my stomach.

The other guys held my head and arms so that I won't retaliate. I glared at the one who kicked me. If only I still had my strength, I would've punched him in the face but it's a worthless to think about it.
He let a small laugh out of his mouth as I was keep getting angry by a seconds.

"Now... where is she?!" He hissed, putting his knife on my throat.

"I'll tell you about it. But you have to let her go. She has nothing to do with this...!" I said.

"Ooh... trying to trick me, are you boy?" He evil smirked and laughed like a maniac.

"You. Get up!!!" He ordered Gerda and... just like me, she refused before end up the same thing like me.

"Now then..." He pulled his knife before put it on her throat, trying to kill her.

"Tell me where she is and I'll let this woman and your beast live!! What's it gonna be, boy...?!" He offered me a difficult choice.

"No!!! Let her gooo!!" I screamed, trying to break free but it was worthless effort. Gerda was helpless as she tried to free herself from the man's grip.

"Hey...!! I found her!!! She's in the shack!" The other guy shouted to him.

He smirked, and said: "Well... that was coincidences, doesn't it?" with a laugh.

He dropped and knocked out Gerda on the ground as well as me.

"Watch him. Make sure he doesn't do anything stupid." He commanded his comrades.

"Stop... please... just stop!" I was out of breath. When I lifted my head up, all I saw was his comrades around me pointing their crossbows at my head.

One of them kicked me on the ground until it was all over. What am I going to do? He's going to kill her and I can't let that happen.

"Dammit!!" I cursed myself again, feeling hopeless as there's no solution this problem. Anger had controlled all over me.

Until... I heard a strange voice popped in my head.

"Guardian..."

"What the-"

"It's time for you... to unleash your power."

"Power? Guardian? Who-"

Third Person POV
A strange and familiar voice rang and popped in Hiccup's head. He tried to remember it but failed. He never heard it since he was a young boy. And now... it came to him.

Suddenly, he felt something strange but heat in his body. It's an extremely powerful heat which made him screamed. His skin turned almost into a scale. A DRAGON scale. Teeth turned to fangs. He was like bearing a pain as the process continued.

"Hey!! What's going on back there?!!" The man shouted to his comrades who were watching Hiccup behaving suspiciously.

"Let's kill him!! He won't a problem once we get the girl!!" One of them made his decision.

"Yeah!!"

"You're just a stupid-" The other one was about to punch Hiccup until...

"STOOOPPP IIITTTT!!!!!!!" His screamed turned into a roar. A DRAGON roar, creating a force that blew them away from him.

Hiccup's roar had shaken the world almost like an earthquake. The man who was heading to Elsa, tripped over and fell on the ground including his men. His head lifted up, trying to get back on the feet to see who made that furious roar.

"What the-"

He jaw dropped as his eyes had witnessed something in front of him. In his sight, all his men were either knocked out or dead by that sound. All except the man who stood within a smoke that caused from his roar. A glowing red eyes met with his. The man was in fear.

"C-Could it be...?!"
