Hiccup POV
It's been a day or two since she tried to recover from her wounds. I must say, she's not what I suspected. She'd been whimpering every time she went to sleep that made me felt bother. But I can't just leave her like that. So, every time it happened, I did my best to comfort her.
Eventually, I finally made her slept more peaceful than usual. Poor Elsa, she must've been living a lonely life, where no one was looking after her. Lucky that I'm willing to do so, she would never feel alone anymore.
If I don't, who knew what would happen to her.I was on the other side of the room in the shack. I mean, I can't share a room with her. That would be ridiculous. When I was thinking about her, Toothless's growl had interrupted my mind.
"What is it, Toothless?" I asked the dragon.
He growled again to me which I knew what he was trying to say. He's hungry...
"Well, uhh... there's not much food left. Here, bud. You can have them all..." I gave him a basket filled with fish to feed his stomach.
It didn't take too long for him to finish his meal. He's a dragon and Toothless never hesitated to act whenever he smelled something delicious. Fish is his favorite food. Not just the fish, anything that came with meat also counted as food. You name it. However, he always gave me his leftovers to me which it's stink.
"Hmm...?" I saw him looking at me while growling again with a weird expression after he ate all his fish.
"It's okay, bud. I'll be fine. I'm not hungry..." I translated his language.
I need to check on Elsa. I wondered how was she doing. She's either sleeping or whimpering again but I didn't hear it. But still, I need to check her out for a prove. I told Toothless to go to sleep before I went to her room.
It was snowing outside and I almost froze myself. I walked to the door that led to her room. I opened it slowly. She's sleeping. With the blanket that I put her on earlier. I went in before I closed the door.
I came towards her bed and sit on a chair beside her. I can tell that she looked peaceful when she's sleeping and... beautiful. Seeing her smile made me wondering why did I have this strange feelings. I mean, I never felt anything like this before not even when I met pretty girl before her. But she... she made me felt like I need someone to protect. To protect her...
My mind snapped into reality when I heard she whimpered... again. I took a hold of her hand to make her felt better. I thought it might wake her up but it didn't.
"Anna... where... are... you...?" She mumbled someone's name.
"ANNA...!" She awoke while screaming which made me startled in shocked.
She looked around as she panting for some air. I guessed she had a terrible nightmare. Then, she looked at me before she looked at my hand that was holding hers. I let it go because that might scare her in case she thought I was gonna do something to her.
"W-What are you doing here...? Why are you holding my hand...?" She asked.
"I heard you whimpering again that makes me hard to sleep... and uhh... I hold your hand so you don't feel scared anymore..." I answered.
"Are you okay...?" I inquired her.
"I-I'm fine..." She muttered.
"I heard you mumbling someone named Anna. Who is she?" I questioned.
"She's my sister..." She sighed.
"Where is she now?"
"She... she..." She couldn't continue her sentence when her tears formed in her eyes streaming down on her cheeks, crying.
"Hey, it's okay. You don't have to talk about it..." I said feeling a bit guilty.
"Elsa, Elsa, look at me..." I held her chin to face me.
"You have to be strong. Don't let your fears take away your happiness. You may not accept this but everything happens for a reason..." I convinced.
And with that, she finally calmed down. Her tears had ruined her beauty face but she still looked beautiful in every way. I wiped it off of her face. Honestly, I'm really glad that I made her smiled again. Whenever she cried or sad, I felt like I was letting her down and hurting her at the same time.
"Why don't you go back to sleep? You need some rest, remember?" I reminded her.
"Y-Yeah..." She agreed my decision.
"You sure you're gonna be alright?" I asked before she nodded without another words.
As I was going to leave her room, Elsa called me with her soft voice.
"H-Hiccup...?"
"What's wrong, Elsa?" I asked while leaning against the door of her room.
"Thank you..." She gave me her beautiful smile that made me blushed out of the blue.
"Y-You're welcome..." As soon as I smiled back to her, she quickly looked away, hiding her red face blushing which I noticed it at the moment. After that, I took my leave to my room.
When I entered mine, I saw Toothless who was sleeping peacefully beside my bed. With yawning and feeling sleepy, I drifted myself to sleep on bed.
