Thorns (Wanda x Y/n)

Chapter 8

Y/ns POV: I wake up from a nap to the sound of my phone dinging and it was a text from Nat

"Good luck on your mission can't wait till you get back <3" is what the text said

I smiled and texted back "Me too I want to come home" I throw my phone on my bed and turn on the shower

I pick out some clothes grab two towels and jump into the shower

While I was in the shower I had so many things on my mind like my family Natasha and the team but for the most part, I could only think about Wanda. She used to completely hate me when I first got here but now she's actually being nice. I smiled when I thought about us walking into that club together I know it's for a mission but doing anything with her makes me happy even if it's doing nothing.

I turn the water off and wrap a towel around my body so I can get dressed

I put on a pair of jeans and a T-shirt with a hoodie over top and I head into the kitchen so I can make some breakfast

I walk into the kitchen and see Wanda looking at her tablet and rubbing her temples I could tell something was up

"Is everything okay?" I ask as I sit next to her

"We just got more information about the mission and it's not good," She says as she hands me her tablet "Apparently dangerous drugs are not the only thing they are bringing to the club"

"Heavy weapons," I say before I let out a huge sigh "We could have really used Thor for this mission"

"Yeah," Wanda says as she stands up and paces back and forth

"Okay just calm down Tony would not have sent us on this mission if we could not do it," I say as I try to stay calm

"Yeah your right" Wanda says before looking at the clock "We better start getting ready"

"Yeah take these," I say to her as I hand her something tony slipped into my bag

"What do they do?" She asks

"Ok well we stick them under our dresses and then when we are ready to fight we push them and our suits come on," I say as I walk out of the room "Get ready we only have like 3 hours"

I can hear her laugh and that made me smile

TIME JUMP

After I dry my hair and do my makeup and take my robe off and slip my new dress but then I realize I don't have any shoes "Oh shit" I say as I go to Wanda's room and knock on the door

"Come in," She says and I open the door to see her in a black dress that hugs her curves in all the right places with thin straps and gold dangly earrings.

"Whats up?' She asks as she slips on some heels

"Well, it seems I don't have any shoes that match so by chance are you a 7.5?" I say as I sit on her bed

"That's actually really funny we are the same size and I brought some extra black heels they are in the closet if you wanna grab them? She says with a smile

I grab the shoes and slip them on "Well how do I look" I ask as I do a little spin

Wanda's cheeks get a little red and she smiles "You look really pretty" she says before she grabs her tablet and hands it to me "Those are some pictures of who we are after"

"Woah that's a lot I thought we were only going after doctor hale and someone else," I say as I scroll through the pictures

"Yes but they have a whole team with them so be ready we need to get going," She says as we leave the room and head to the kitchen

We get to the kitchen and I grab my tablet and put it into my bag "well I think we are ready" I say
"I think we are!" Wanda says as she grabs our earpieces and hands me mine "are you ready?" She asks as we start to walk to the car

I sigh and shake my head "Wanda I know I have seemed really confident but I'm worried. What if something goes wrong and it's my fault. What if I mess everything up on my first mission" I say as I look at the ground 

Wanda smiles and laughs "Y/n your going to be fine you have me," she says as she grabs my hand and pulls me into the car "Just stop worrying"

"Yeah but Wanda I've been thinking this seems like such a simple mission why would tony need the strongest avengers for it"

Wanda buckles her seat belt and starts the car "It's your first mission you just need to relax maybe after this is over we can do something to chill"

Wanda's words calmed me down and to be honest she has been the only thing keeping me from losing my mind

"Okay okay your right I just need to calm down and stop letting my thoughts get to me," I say "but now we need to get going. The sooner we do the mission the sooner we can go home"

We both laugh and she starts to dive to the club

The ride was quiet but towards the end, I played some music and we talked a lot more

Wanda's POV: We pull up in front of the club and Y/n reaches for the door but I grab her hand

"Whats up Wanda?" She asks as she closes the door

"I just um wanted to tell you that everything's going to be fine," I say as I look into her eyes

It was at this moment when I realized I had feelings for her. Once I found out she was an incredible person her smile was what I wanted to see in the mornings and her laugh was what I longed to hear

"I know," she says with a smile

I cup her face and lean in to kiss her and she kisses me back

In that moment I felt butterflies in my stomach. But soon the amazing kiss was interrupted by a loud bang coming from inside the club
