Thorns (Wanda x Y/n)

Chapter 15

Y/n POV:

"Oh, and an Iced coffee with 2 pumps of vanilla please," I say to the barista and she types in my order and smiles at me. Today I am taking a self-care day with Natasha. After everything that had happened, I need this time. Nat and I go sit at a little table in the corner after we get out drinks and 2 pastries.

"So" Natasha starts to say "How is it with Wanda?"

"Oh um good I think. To be honest I'm just so over love why does it need to be so complicated." I groan 

"Who knows," she says with a sigh before taking a sip of her coffee.

The day was pretty chill and calm we walked around the mall and looked in a few shops but there was nothing that I was interested in until we walked into a jewelry shop

"Oh my god, Nat look at this!" I exclaim to her as I pick up a little gold necklace with a small heart pendant on it "it's gorgeous!"

"Ohh that is gorgeous you should get it," she says 

"How much is it?" I as the man at the counter and he pulls the necklace out of the glass case to check the price

"585$," he says and my jaw drops. I couldn't spend that much on a necklace. I couldn't spend that much money on anything at all.

"Oh um thank you but I am going to have to pass," I say sadly and I start to walk out of the shop

Natasha sneakily snaps a picture of the necklace thinking I didn't notice but I did. I don't know why but I just wanted to home. Me and Natasha went to some more stores before heading out to the car. 

"I think today was a pretty successful day, don't you think?" Natasha asks as she holds up several large bags of clothes makeup and other stuff.

I smile and nod my head before hopping into the front seat and starting the car. When I first got here Tony designed me a car so that I could get more comfortable but I think he did it mostly so he didn't need to drive me everywhere or hitch rides with everyone else. Natasha hops in next to me and turns on the radio and I can tell she has something to say.

"Something bothering you?" I ask as I pull out of the mall parking lot 

"No why do you think that?" she says but I can tell she was lying but I just left it alone

"I don't know just a vibe" I exclaim before turning the music up and changing the topic

TIME SKIP TO LATER THAT DAY

As I lay on my bed just scrolling on my phone I can't help but get the feeling I'm being watched, but I try to ignore it, but the more I try to ignore it the stronger the feeling gets. I shut my phone off and go over to my window but I see no one out there so I shut my curtains and head downstairs. When I get downstairs I find a note on the coffee table in the living area that reads "Hey Y/n, Steve Tony Clint and I have headed out to meet with Nick Fury, Bruce is at his lab working and I think everyone else went out for some errands so you have the place to yourself -Love nat." I let out a soft sigh and plop down on the couch to watch something but the feeling is back but this time it's a lot stronger. 

"Hello?" I shout out but like I expected I got no answer. I grab my phone and head to the security panel on the wall to lock the doors but it doesn't seem to work. I decided to call Tony about it but no answer. I just want to get my mind off things so I head to my room to get dressed for a run. As I walk up to my room I decided to shoot Wanda a text since we haven't really talked much today. I sent a text that said "Hey Wanda! Im gonna go for a run, got any song recommendations?" I put a few kissy faces but quickly deleted them and just sent the text. I get to my room and change into running shorts, a t-shirt, and my favorite running shoes. I head back downstairs to grab a water bottle and my headphones and I notice that the security panel was flashing red so I slowly walk over to find a message that reads "ALERT ALERT SECURITY HACK" I take a picture with my phone and send it to tony. I just assumed it was glitching out but just in case I head to the security room to check the cameras. When I look at the cameras I see nothing suspicious so I decide to get my stuff and head out for my run. When I get outside I start to stretch out and I start my stopwatch on my watch that Tony makes all the Avengers keep with them. I start off slow taking my time just to warm up but just as I start to speed up I start to hear voices calling my name.

"Hello! Who's there?" I shout but I get no response I just keep hearing my name being called over and over

I stood in the middle of the running path where I can barely see the Avengers compound then I turn my head to face where the noises were coming from and I felt sick. I decided to stay safe and trust my gut so I ran back to the compound and into the security room to check the base cameras. I see nothing wrong but in my gut, I knew that wasn't the case. I call Tony and Nat but again I get no response. I hear the voices again but It sounds like they are coming from down the hall. I am sick of the games so I swung open the door and walk down the hall to see him.

"What are you doing here!" I exclaim as my hands light up purple. I can tell it's going to end in a fight.
