Chapter 2

Jin was on his way to the station, he was kinda nervous about the new captain. Since he was not very fond of changes.

He decided to put his opinions aside and maintain professionalism while dealing with the new captain. Nobody knows, this captain might actually turn out as an ace, he thought to himself.

He entered the police station to see all of his team already present there waiting for him.

"Am I dreaming? Or am I late?!", Jin said while checking his watch.
"No I am right on time! In fact I am early! What are you guys doing here so early?! It's not at all like you guys", Jin said.

Jungkook rolled his eyes and said,"yeah yeah I guess you are in good mood seeing that your sarcasm is still there. Aren't you even a bit curious about our new captain?".

"What's there to be curious about? We had a captain before right, it's the same thing just the person has changed. We don't have any option but to tolerate him anyways so why not just give him a chance-", Jin said.

Jungkook and Hoseok were signalling him to turn around but Jin just ignored them and continued.

"But you know what I don't think he will be able settle here. I don't know if it is possible for him to ever fill our old captain's shoes anyways", Jin said.

Just then someone interrupted him.

"Thank you so much lieutenant, I appreciate your honesty. I am looking forward to work with you too"

Jin cursed at himself and turned. His eyes went wide as he saw the person standing in front of him!

"Blind jogger guy?!", the guy in front of him said.
"Rude stranger!!!", Jin exclaimed. But then he quickly shut his mouth.

Everyone else was shook with their interaction.

"What are you doing here?!", Jin mustered the courage and asked.

"I could ask you the same but anyways. Hello everyone, I am your new captain Kim Taehyung. Nice to meet you all. I am looking forward to a great teamwork", Taehyung said while ignoring Jin and looking at everyone.

Jin was still standing there trying to process what just happened. Hoseok came to him and shook him.

"Do you know him Jin?!", Hoseok asked curiously.

"N-no I don't! I just know that he is a hella rude person", Jin snapped.

They went back to the meeting room to discuss today's schedule.

Jin gave them briefing about their current case. It was a minor case of burglary and theft.

Taehyung was keenly noticing the change in Jin's behaviour, he wasn't the same guy who was jogging with his eyes closed but right now he was a professional guy who gives his all to his job.

After the briefing everyone started leaving to do their assigned tasks. Jin was also about to leave when Taehyung stopped him.

"Wait lieutenant Kim. I have something to ask", Taehyung said.

Jin made a weird face at him, when Taehyung raised his eyebrow in confusion.

Jin said, "it's Jin. Only Jin, that's what everyone calls me here. Using the whole honourifics and surname is just weird".

Taehyung sighed, "is that so? Back in Daegu it's mandatory to use honorifics with subordinates as well as superiors".

"Well the rules are different here. So what did you want to ask Taeh-", Jin stopped in the middle of the sentence not knowing how to address him.
