Chapter 17

A/N: Hello my loves, how are you all doing? Now before you start reading the chapter, I wanted to clarify few things. I know I have been updating really late, I have seen many of you saying that you love this story but want me to update more often. I am really sorry for that. The thing is that I have job, so many times I have to work from morning 9 o'clock to 10-11 at night, so after that I just become lifeless. So it's like even if I want to write, my mind goes numb. That's why I have been really slow with the updates. But I feel really bad for always making you wait, because I know how frustrating that can be for you guys. I would like to apologise to you for that and I promise to try and write more often. Thanks for listening to my complaints lol. Well then let's get started with the chapter!

Author's POV:

Jin ran towards the hall, but what he saw wasn't something he was expecting to see. Taehyung had one guy pinned down on the floor. He was grabbing that guy's wrist tightly along with the gun in that guy's hand. Namjoon was standing beside them just watching the scene.

"What the hell?", those were the words that came out of Jin's mouth.

"Oh good you are here", Namjoon said.

"Care to explain me what's going on?", Jin asked Namjoon while raising an eyebrow. 

"We aren't going to find Alexander here. He already went to hide at a different place. Only person we found here was this guy who was hiding behind the couch and he shot Taehyung as soon as we entered. But he missed", Namjoon explained. Jin's eyes went wide as he heard that Taehyung was almost shot.

"Now tell me where did they go?!! What do you know?!", Taehyung asked that guy.

"I don't know!", that guy shouted back.

"Listen here! This is really not a good time to lie to us. At least not if you don't want to spend rest of your life behind the bars!", Jin said while crouching down near that guy.

"I am telling the truth! Please! Let me go! I am just a local goon, I do small thefts in this area. I don't even know who they were. This is not even my house. They said they will give me a lot of money if I do this for them. They asked me to pretend that this is my house when police comes here. But when you guys came I got scared and fired the gun. That's it! I don't know who they were or where they went", that guy said.

"If even a single word from your statement is a lie, you will regret it", Taehyung said as he hastily pulled that guy up by collar.

Yoongi came in, grabbed him by collar and left.

"So what do we do now? We were once again mislead", Taehyung asked while resting himself on a chair.

Namjoon sighed, "we have already sent people to check all possible locations that Jay told us about. I guess we will have to wait and see".

Jin slightly nodded in agreement, then he noticed that Taehyung's arm was bleeding. He came near him and grabbed Taehyung's hand in worry.

"You are bleeding", Jin said while worriedly looking at Taehyung's arm.

"It's nothing serious, the bullett just brushed past my arm. So it's probably just a scratch", Taehyung said.

"But you need to get it treated!", Jin said.

"I said it's fine!", Taehyung said loudly. He was already worried about the case, as they always thought they were close to solving the case and again they were failing to solve it.

Jin released his arm and went outside. Namjoon rolled his eyes at Taehyung and said, "it's not his fault that we failed to capture Alexander, so stop being a jerk to him and focus on solving the case".
