Chapter 3

Taehyung and Jin were just sitting there going through the old files. Jin occasionally peeked at Taehyung but everytime he looked, he found his face buried in the file.

Only time Taehyung was talking to Jin was when he had a doubt about a case. Jin was not used to such situation, because all of them were so talkative that even while solving a case they couldn't stay quiet.

Jin had enough, if he stayed quiet anymore he will definitely sleep. So he broke the silence.

"So cap in Daegu what post were you on?"

"I was team captain", Taehyung replied.

'what?! That's it! Has he always been this boring', Jin thought to himself.

"Don't you wanna ask me the same?", Jin said.

"Why would I do that? When I already know your history and everything", Taehyung said.

Jin stared at him with wide eyes.

"I meant I know about everyone in our team not just you. I studied the backgrounds", Taehyung said quickly.

"Ah- okay. I guess you had to see what you are getting yourself into", Jin said while laughing.

"Hmm", Taehyung replied.

"Do you always act like that? I mean you know quiet who likes to keep it to themselves?", Jin asked.

"Well I keep my personal and professional life separate so yes I like to keep things professional while working", Taehyung replied.

'woah so boring. It's like he is telling me to stay away from him! I am also professional but I don't act like him!', Jin thought to himself.

Then Jin went back to files. They were looking through the files when Taehyung said, "So Jin, I heard a lot about you from your captain before coming here. He said you are excellent at your work".

Jin smiled, "hyung was just being modest. It was his leadership which made me work harder".

"So do you miss working with him?", Taehyung asked.

"Well yeah of course I do. To be honest I was not at all happy with the decision that he will be replaced by you", Jin said.

Taehyung smirked, "You never think before you speak, do you?".

"Well. I just said what I felt", Jin replied.

Before they could say anything else, they heard a woman yelling.

They quickly went outside to see a crying woman who was almost in her late 30's.

Jin went to that woman, "firstly mam you have to calm down and tell me what happened. Here drink some water".

He offered her a glass of water, after drinking that she calmed a bit and said, "it's my son! He is missing, I tried to find him everywhere but he is nowhere in my neighborhood".

"Alright now tell me what's your name and your son's name", Jin asked.

"His name is Haneul, he is 5 years old. I am Yeona, we live in this neighborhood", that woman replied.

Taehyung told Jungkook and Hoseok to search the whole neighborhood.

Before they could ask any questions, a guy in his late 20's came running.

"I-I couldn't find him anywhere either", that guy said to Yeona.

"And who are you?", Taehyung asked.

"I am Suho, her neighbour", that guy replied.

They asked few more questions to Yeona and told her to go back. That they will make sure to find her son.
